  • Publication number: 20110037352
Abstract: A motor is provided with a set of end cap guides on the ends of a stator winding assembly to plot the placement of end caps into the correct placement relative to the stator winding assembly so that the rotor assembly is maintained concentric with the stator. The end cap guides may be rings fitting within the winding insulators on the ends of the stator stack or may be integrated as guide segments with the winding insulators to outline an interrupted cylindrical inner surface coinciding with the inner diameter of the stator winding assembly. The guides allow proper positioning of the rotor assembly without increasing the stator stack length.

  • Patent number: 7886151
Abstract: A protocol for temporal synchronization of media signals with temporal components is used for digital watermarking and other applications. The synchronization protocol achieves initial synchronization by finding an initial synchronization key through analysis of a temporal media signal stream. It then uses features of the stream and a queue of one or more keys from previous frames to derive subsequent keys to maintain synchronization. If synchronization is lost due to channel errors or attacks, for example, the protocol uses the initial synchronization key to re-establish synchronization. In digital watermarking applications, the synchronization protocol is agnostic to the watermark embedding and reading functions.

  • Publication number: 20100310075
Abstract: A method and system for content replication control are provided. In one embodiment, a content replication system receives a request to replicate content in a plurality of memory devices, wherein each memory device is associated with a respective unique identifier. For each of the plurality of memory devices, the content replication system sends a request to a transport encryption key server for a transport encryption key, the request including the unique identifier of the memory device. If the unique identifier of the memory device is authorized to receive the transport encryption key, the content replication system receives the transport encryption key and sends the transport encryption key to the memory device. The content replication system then receives encrypted content from a content server, wherein the encrypted content is encrypted with the transport encryption key. The content replication system then sends the encrypted content to the plurality of memory devices.

  • Publication number: 20100297123
Abstract: Methods and compositions are provided for inhibiting the responsiveness of CD4+ T cells that have been sensitized to antigen, i.e. CD4+ memory, or effector T cells. It is shown herein that such effector T cells will fail to proliferate in response to antigen when inhibited by two compounds, which act on two distinct signaling pathways, the mTOR pathway and the MAPK (MEK) pathway. A synergistic combination of inhibitors is required to achieve effector T cell inactivation because a single inhibitor can provide for inactivation of naïve CD4+ T cells, but will not by itself inactivate the sensitized effector T cells.

  • Patent number: 7840005
Abstract: A method for synchronization of a media signal computes features of the media signal and determines redundancy of the features to establish synchronization. The synchronization method is adapted for both temporal and spatial synchronization. For spatial synchronization, spatial redundancy is used to detect geometric distortion of a signal using an autocorrelation method to detect peaks caused by the redundancy of features of the signal. These peaks are then analyzed with a histogram method to detect rotation and scaling of the host media signal. The spatial synchronization process is applied for both intra-coded frames of video (I-frames) as well as still images.

  • Publication number: 20100176852
Abstract: A new technique using arrival locked loop technology to produce a spread spectrum clock signal with random frequency modulation and with precise variable frequency spread is presented. The arrival locked loop includes three modules, the arrival comparator with a precise spread control, the loop filter and the VCO. An arrival locked loop is made unstable and oscillates at a certain frequency to produce a low frequency modulation signal on the final error correction output to spread the high frequency output signal from VCO in frequency. The period of frequency spread in each cycle of the low frequency modulation signal also increases by a small random amount of time cycle after cycle until the period of frequency spread becomes so long that cycle-slip is produced to the punctual signal at the input of arrival comparator to reset the period of frequency spread to a small amount.
