    Abstract: A receiving device for a global positioning system and an antenna structure thereof. The receiving device includes a housing, a circuit board and the antenna structure. The circuit board is disposed inside the housing and has a ground portion and a signal feeding portion. The antenna structure is disposed inside the housing and includes a metal plate, a first electric conducting element and a second electric conducting element. The metal plate is used for receiving a GPS signal. The first electric conducting element has one end coupled to the metal plate, and the other end coupled to the ground portion of the circuit board. The second electric conducting element for feeding the GPS signal to the circuit board has one end coupled to the metal plate, and the other end coupled to the signal feeding portion of the circuit board.

    Abstract: An interference measuring apparatus comprises a light source module, a beam splitter, a first lens module, a reflecting module, a second lens module, and a detection device. A light beam generated from the light source module can be projected on the beam splitter. The beam splitter splits the light beam to generate a first light beam and a second light beam. The first light beam passes through the first lens module and then projects onto the reflecting module, and the second light beam passes through the second lens module and projects onto an object. Furthermore, the first light beam and the second light beam are reflected by the reflecting module and the object, respectively, then both the first light beam and the second light beam are leaded to the detection device to form an interference pattern for obtaining the contours and internal cross-sectional image of the object.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a sheet for mounting a workpiece and a method for making the same. The method includes the steps of: (a) providing a sheet body having a top surface, a bottom surface, at least one side surface and a plurality of pores, wherein some of the pores open at the side surface; and (b) sealing or narrowing the pores that open at the side surface. Since the pores that open at the side surface are sealed or narrowed, the slurry is prevented from entering into the interior of the sheet body. Therefore, the infiltration distance reaches a predetermined value slowly, thereby increasing the effective life of the sheet.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for low coherence optical imaging, and more particularly to an apparatus for low coherence optical imaging which can obtain the information of the different depths of a sample simultaneously. The apparatus comprises a phase transformation unit or a beam shift unit. The phase transformation unit or beam shift unit transforms and reflects the reference light, such that the reflected reference light comprises different phases at the different positions of a cross-section. When the reference light and a information light from the sample are superimposed on a photo detector, the information of the different depths of the sample is obtained. By using the apparatus of the present invention, the elements, the volume, and the cost of the apparatus are reduced. Because of only two-dimensional scanning is required, the scanning rate is improved.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a polishing pad and method for making the same. The polishing pad includes a fabric substrate and a second high polymeric elastomer resin. The fabric substrate is formed by a plurality of cross composite fibers. Each composite fiber has a plurality of fine fibers and a first high polymeric elastomer resin, and the first high polymeric elastomer resin discontinuously encloses the fine fibers. The second high polymeric elastomer resin encloses the composite fibers, and the first high polymeric elastomer resin and the second high polymeric elastomer resin have the same functional group. By adjusting the degree of saturation of the first high polymeric elastomer resin and the second high polymeric elastomer resin, the fine fibers will have smaller size and will not be easily entangled. Therefore, a workpiece to be polished will not be scratched and will have excellent surface quality.

Example sensors include HEMTs with a thin gold layer on the gate region and bound antibodies; a thin gold layer on the gate region and chelating agents; a non-native gate dielectric on the gate region; and nanorods of a non-native dielectric with an immobilized enzyme on the gate region. Embodiments including antibodies or enzymes can have the antibodies or enzymes bound to the Au-gate via a binding group. Other embodiments of the invention are methods of using the sensors for detecting breast cancer, prostate cancer, kidney injury, glucose, metals or pH where a signal is generated by the HEMT when a solution is contacted with the sensor. The conductive polishing pad includes a bottom layer, a conductive film and a polishing layer. The bottom layer includes a first high polymer and a fiber base. The first high polymer covers the fiber base, and has a plurality of first holes. The conductive film is disposed on the bottom layer. The polishing layer is disposed on the conductive film, and includes a second high polymer. The second high polymer has a plurality of second holes. Even though the bottom layer and the polishing layer are poor conductors, the conductivity thereof is raised by the conductive film, so that the polishing pad has good conductivity. Further, the polishing pad has a flexible surface, which prevents a surface of a workpiece to be polished from being scratched during polishing.

The exposed part of the surface around the edge of the base material is located between the first grooves, the second grooves and the edge of the polishing pad. The polishing pad contains more grinding liquid, to clean the small grinded pieces. The grinding layer does not have an acute structure and is not easily peeled to form the small grinded pieces. Therefore, grinding quality and grinding effect are improved.
