  • Patent number: 8155047
Abstract: A communication station receives data from a transmission station, transmits a reception response representing the data reception condition, and determines, based on reception responses from other communication stations, whether communication station which has not normally received the data from the transmission station exists among the other communications. Upon normally receiving the data from the transmission station, and determining that the communication station which has not normally received the data from the transmission station exists, the communication station transfers, to the communication station which has not normally received the data, the data received from the transmission station. upon transferring, it is decided, based on a predetermined priority order, whether or not to perform the transfer to the communication station which has not normally received the data.

  • Patent number: 7920545
Abstract: A communication apparatus determines a hibernation period on the basis of the amount of an offset in beacon period start timing among multiple beacon groups. The communication apparatus is placed in a hibernation status in accordance with the determined hibernation period. Thus, an offset in beacon period start timing among the beacon groups that would occur while the device is in hibernation can be prevented and the need for merging beacon groups and decrease in data rate during such merging are prevented.

  • Publication number: 20090237265
Abstract: This invention eliminates unnecessary beacon transmission by a DBD and suppresses the power consumption of each device included in a wireless communication network. This invention provides a communication control method in a host which wirelessly communicates with a DBD via a wireless USB. The method includes the steps of transmitting a capture packet command to a DBD when it is activated, analyzing a received captured signal and determining the presence/absence of another Wimedia device unrecognized by the host, and upon determining that the other Wimedia device unrecognized by the host exists, instructing the activated DBD to transmit a beacon to implement wireless communication synchronized with the host.

  • Patent number: 7536015
Abstract: An SSID and an encryption key of a wireless LAN apparatus of computer peripheral equipment are calculated based on a manufacturer's serial number of the computer peripheral equipment to be stored in the wireless LAN apparatus of the computer peripheral equipment. On the other hand, for an SSID and an encryption key of a computer wirelessly connected to the computer peripheral equipment, when driver software of the computer peripheral equipment is installed, a user inputs the manufacturer's serial number of the computer peripheral equipment, and the SSID and the encryption key of a wireless LAN apparatus are calculated on the computer to be stored in the wireless LAN apparatus of the computer. Thus, the same SSID and encryption key as those of the computer peripheral equipment can be set in the computer.

  • Publication number: 20090047907
Abstract: To adjust reception sensitivity suitable for avoiding cross-interference with another wireless communication system with an easy method. In order to achieve the above object, a control station that controls wireless communication of a dependent station determines whether or not a beacon received by the dependent station includes a beacon transmitted by a wireless terminal that is operated in asynchronization with the control station, and continues to transmit an instruction to lower the reception sensitivity of the dependent station to the dependent station until the beacon received by the dependent station does not include a beacon transmitted by the asynchronous wireless terminal.
