  • Patent number: 5150218
Abstract: An apparatus for recording video and audio signals, in which a magnetic head device is operative to record a unit period segment of a first recording video signal based on a first video signal from which a reproduced picture of a first aspect ratio is properly obtained or a second recording video signal based on a second video signal from which a reproduced picture of a second aspect ratio is properly obtained, a segment of a first digital audio signal based on an audio signal corresponding to the first video signal or a second digital audio signal based on an audio signal corresponding to the second video signal and identifying coce data indicating whether the first or second recording video signal is to be recorded, in respective different portions of a record track formed on a magnetic recording medium.

  • Patent number: 4922331
Abstract: A video signal reproducing apparatus has a filter circuit interposed in a transmission path for a reproduced luminance signal, and the characteristic of the filter circuit desirably includes a band-eliminating characteristic and a comb-filter passband characteristic which can be selectively emphasized. When the reproduced luminance signal has a normal or relatively smaller frequency bandwidth or a relatively small line correlation component, or when the level of the reproduced carrier chrominance signal is high, the band-eliminating characteristic of the filter circuit is emphasized.

  • Patent number: 4876451
Abstract: An aluminum foil type solid electrolytic capacitor wherein the distance between the two foils in the capacitor element to be determined by the thickness of separator being kept at a value between ten to sixty micrometers, solid electrolyte being formed between the two foils by the thermal decomposition of electrolytic solution impregnated in the capacitor element.Manufacturing methods of making an aluminum foil type solid electrolytic capacitor with a manganese dioxide electrolytic layer between the electrode foils, wherein the layer is formed by decomposing the electrolytic solution thermally under conditions of a temperature between 200 and 260.degree. C. and of a time interval between 20 and 40 minutes, wherein the layer is formed by decomposing electrolytic solution with fine powders of manganese dioxide, wherein lithium is doped in the layer or wherein electrochemical conversion processes are used for restoring an aluminum oxide film.

  • Patent number: 4789905
Abstract: An output signal switching circuit for a video tape recorder which has an RF signal changeover switch which is automatically connected to the output terminal of an RF converter during reproduction mode and the video tape recorder is prevented from being automatically switched when a connecting line is connected to a composite video or base band video signal output terminal, thus assuring that the video tape recorder is easier to operate than prior art systems.
