    Abstract: A method for using a packaging material for a medical instrument set, the medical instrument set being housed in said packaging material and assembled from a plurality of medical instruments. The packaging material includes a packaging material body having an opening therein and a lid that closes the opening and holds or fastens, on an inside portion thereof, a blood collecting needle. The method includes an opening operation for peeling off the lid to expose the opening to an outside environment while letting the blood collecting needle through the opening, and then taking the blood collecting needle out from the packaging material body; a preparation operation for removing the blood collecting needle from the lid; and a blood collecting operation for collecting blood by using the blood collecting needle in a stage where the blood-processing part is housed in the packaging material body.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a thermoplastic elastomer composition containing 10-60 parts by weight of a non-crosslinkable crystalline polyolefin resin (A), 1-30 parts by weight of a specific propylene 1-butene random copolymer (B) and 89-10 parts by weight of an ethylene ?-olefin non-conjugated polyene copolymer rubber (C) which is composed of ethylene, an ?-olefin having 3-20 carbon atoms and a non-conjugated polyene, in such amounts that the total of the components (A), (B) and (C) is 100 parts by weight. The thermoplastic elastomer composition is dynamically crosslinked by an extruder. This thermoplastic elastomer is excellent in moldability and economic efficiency, and enables to obtain a molded body exhibiting sufficient adhesion strength to a vulcanized rubber or thermoplastic elastomer without the intermediation of an adhesive layer, as well as a lightweight molded body having sufficient hardness and rubber elasticity.

    Abstract: A medical instrument set package includes a blood treating implement (medical instrument set) housed inside a packing material. The blood treating implement includes a plurality of bags, a blood collecting needle, and a filter, which are connected together by tubes. The packing material also has perforations (18) serving as a means for expanding the opening, and a lid (20) that closes the opening (17). An adhesive layer (22) is formed on the inner surface of the lid (20). A blood collecting needle (41), which is the medical instrument that is used first, is pasted to and held on the adhesive layer (22). The moment the lid (20) is removed to unseal the opening (17), the blood collecting needle (41) is made ready for servicing.
