  • Patent number: 7467097
Abstract: A business management method, a business management apparatus and a data broadcast delivery method are disclosed which allows contents to be broadcast over an unused bandwidth in satellite broadcasting so that the contents are stored and later reproduced as needed for quick access to a desired destination recorded in the contents. A data broadcast is assigned to an unused broadcast bandwidth over a broadcast band for transmitting programs in satellite broadcasting. The data broadcast over the unused bandwidth are stored onto a storage medium in a TV set. The stored data contents are sorted out by category for selective viewing by operation of the TV set. If the selected content offers e-commerce, a virtual shop handing desired offerings is accessed as per the content.

  • Publication number: 20080291226
Abstract: For use when the recordable area of a recording medium is smaller than recording data, there is provided a recording device that can determine the priority of divided areas and preferentially record a high-priority area. The recording device assigns priority to each of the recording areas of a whole image on one page and, if it is determined that the whole image does not fit on the recording medium, performs at least one of rearranging the recording position of a high-priority area, changing the recording size of a low-priority area, and discarding a part of recording data of the low-priority area based on the priority of the recording areas to prevent any part of the image of the high-priority area from being lost.

  • Publication number: 20070253493
Abstract: This invention provides a digital broadcasting receiving unit capable of achieving synchronization of time information between a base station and a receiving unit with reference clock without use of a crystal oscillator (VCXO) having a variable frequency. The crystal oscillator oscillates a clock of a predetermined fixed frequency. A variable digital dividing circuit divides a fixed frequency by a division ratio so as to change the division ratio. A system decoder detects reference time information from the base station. A reference counter generates time information of a receiving unit. A phase comparator detects a difference between reference time information and time information. A division ratio control circuit controls the change of the division ratio based on the difference. The reference counter generates time information based on a clock having a frequency obtained by dividing by the variable digital dividing circuit and feeds back time information to the phase comparator.

Abstract: A heat exchanger including plate fins and, the tubes fins being stacked at respective intervals relative to one another, and heat exchanger tubes penetrating the fins in a fin-stacking direction. The heat exchanger exchanges heat between fluids flowing, respectively, inside and outside the heat exchanger tubes, through the heat exchanger tubes and the fins. Each of the fins includes cut-raised portions with a bridge shape having leg and beam segments. The cut-raised portions associated with each of the heat exchanger tubes are located substantially only in a region of the fin satisfying Ws=(1??)Dp+?D ?>0.5, where Ws is spread width of the cut-raised portions in a direction (column direction) extending along an end of the fin on the upstream side of the second fluid, and D is outer diameter of the heat exchanger tube. Dp is alignment pitch of the heat exchanger tubes in the column direction.

  • Patent number: 7070269
Abstract: An apparatus and method for recording an image using a transfer-type recording mechanism are such that a layer of an intermediate transfer element is removably formed on a surface of an intermediate transfer medium. The intermediate transfer element includes an ultraviolet stabilizer and a powder mixture. The intermediate transfer layer is capable of being dissolved and swelled by applying an ink liquid on the intermediate transfer medium and enables a viscosity of the ink liquid residing thereon to be increased. An image is produced on the intermediate transfer medium by supplying the ink liquid thereon. The image is then transferred to the recording medium, so that a high quality image is produced without any blurring, mixing or penetration of the ink liquid.

  • Patent number: 7072383
Abstract: A receiver of a spread spectrum communication system comprises a plurality of despreading circuits, a rake circuit, and a path searcher. The plurality of despreading circuits despreads received signals having multipath components at predetermined timing allocated thereto. The rake circuit performs rake combining of the signals despread by despreading circuits. The path searcher forms a first window showing a part of a search range and calculates delay profile data of said received signals in said first window to search an effective path, forms at least one second window in the search range except said first window and calculates delay profile data of said received signals in said second window, and detects timing at which said received signals are despread based on calculated delay profile data to allocate the detected timing to said despreading circuits.

  • Publication number: 20060059038
Abstract: The present invention is relative to a system enabling a through operation between a mileage system and an electronic money system. The mileage system is such a system in which mile points as distance points corresponding to the flight distance of an aircraft are accumulated and exchanged for boarding tickets and other services. An IC card (230) having stored a wallet number in it is used. The wallet number and a mileage number are managed in a correlated fashion. Responsively to a request from a user, reference is made to an electronic money value ledger (222), matched to the wallet number, while reference is also made to a mile point ledger (122), matched to the mileage number. A preset number of the mile points are changed over to an electronic money value and, depending on changed-over results, the electronic money value ledger is subjected to integration processing, while the mile point ledger is subjected to deduction processing.

  • Publication number: 20050210527
Abstract: A data transmission device transmits a data broadcast using a narrow unused broadcasting band in a digital broadcast, and to record the data broadcast, which has been received, on a receiving side so that the receiving side can play back the data broadcast after a data stream is totally recorded. The transmission device generates a first data stream, which is recorded on a recording medium on a receiving side, and a second data stream including audio and video data, which is transmitted as a broadcasting program. The transmission device multiplexes the first and the second data streams and then transmits the multiplexed data stream. The transmission of the multiplexed data stream is controlled so that a transmission rate for the multiplexed data stream does not exceed the maximum transmission rate, and so that a transmission rate for the first data stream becomes lower than that for the second data stream.
