    Abstract: A solenoid valve including a solenoid and a second solenoid to which a smaller electric current is applied han is applied to the first solenoid. The first solenoid is provided at a core, and the second solenoid is provided at a support member connected to the core. A cup-shaped plunger is connected to a valve body opening and closing a passage, and is moved in accordance with an energization of the solenoid, to open and close the valve body. A contact member is connected to the plunger and inclined relative to the bottom wall of the plunger, to come into tight contact with the support member. A first magnetic path is formed in the core and a cylindrical side wall of the plunger, and a second magnetic path is formed in the support member and the contact member.

    Abstract: Of an amorphous Si film, a region to be formed into a lowly doped region such as the channel region of an MOS transistor is covered with a mask and an uncovered region is doped with an impurity. After this, the amorphous Si film is annealed and turned to signal crystal through solid phase epitaxial growth, and the mask itself is used as the electrode of a semiconductor device. By this impurity doping, a large-sized single-crystal Si film can be formed, and the impurity doping can be conducted in self-alignment with the electrode formation to produce a highly integrated semiconductor circuit.

A control circuit controls the process unit to reproduce the document image at a predetermined magnification. The status of the document may include the area of the image on the document, whether the document image is adjacent an edge of the document, the location of the edge of the document, or the disposition of the document. The magnification of reproduction of the document image is then controlled by the control circuit in accordance with the detection of that particular status. For example, if it is determined that the document image is adjacent the edge of the document, reproduction is controlled to be at reduced magnification.
