  • Patent number: 6275368
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for preventing a solenoid from being heated by an exciting current. When a hydraulic cylinder is permitted to extend and retract, a controller commands a high-side driver to send a moving current to the solenoid such that a valve body of an electromagnetic valve is moved to a connection position. Subsequently, the controller commands the high side driver to send a maintaining current to the solenoid such that the valve body is maintained at the connection position. The moving current and the maintaining current are pulse waves. The duty ratio of the maintaining current is smaller than that of the moving current.

  • Patent number: 6168187
Abstract: An airbag cover has a door section on its front surface with an ornament. On a reverse side of the door section, a leg section of the ornament is inserted via an inserting hole from the front surface side of the door section of the cover. The leg section of the ornament is attached to the door section by a rivet, which penetrates an attaching hole of the leg section and a through-hole of the door section. The ornament is thereby attached to the door section, while an ornamental section of the ornament covers a head portion of the rivet on the front surface side of the door section. In another embodiment, the leg section is sewn to the door section. The ornamental section is attached to the front surface side of the door section by adhering the ornamental section to the door section in the sewing portion and the leg section. The connecting portion of the leg section is bent so that the ornamental section can be arranged to cover the sewing portion of the leg section.

  • Patent number: 5446712
Abstract: In the precision angular displacement mechanism of an optical record and playback apparatus, the elasticity coefficient of the supporting component is kept from fluctuating caused by changes in temperature and the fatigue strength is increased. This is accomplished by making the support component of the moving section a flat metal spring. The support component of the moving section is attached with a reflecting mirror. In addition, by forming the moving section so that the position of its gravity center is located near the center of the flat metal spring, it is possible to prevent secondary resonance and torque resonance. Finally, an assembly method is disclosed that makes such a precision angular displacement mechanism easy to assemble.

  • Patent number: 5070758
Abstract: An electronic musical instrument includes a first tone generator for generating a musical tone in response to each depression of key on an accompaniment keyboard and a second tone generator for generating a musical tone in accordance with the musical performance data read from the memory. In a specific mode, the player can cause the first tone generator to generate a musical tone through the accompaniment keyboard with the accompaniment being automatically played. In a mode for recording an accompaniment of a music into the memory in a step manner, a chord is detected from keys depressed on the accompaniment keyboard, and data representative of the detected chord is written into the memory together with data representative of a note-length designated by note-length selection switches. In a mode for recording an accompaniment in real time, each time keys are depressed, the chord data of the depressed keys is written into the memory together with the contents of a tempo clock counter.

  • Patent number: 4869904
Abstract: Now is provided a new sustained release drug preparation comprising such an inclusion complex of a medical compound with a hydrophobic cyclodextrin derivative, e.g. ethylated cyclodextrins, which sustains or retards the dissolution and release of the medical compound at a controlled rate from the inclusion complex and hence from the drug preparation containing the inclusion complex, so as to maintain the concentration of the medical compound in blood at an effective level for prolonged time. This drug preparation may further contain a second type of an inclusion complex of the medical compound with a hydrophilic cyclodextrin or hydrophilic cyclodextrin derivative, in mixture with the first type of the inclusion complex of the medical compound with a hydrophobic cyclodextrin derivative, to maintain the controlled release of the medical compound from the drug.

  • Patent number: 3930480
Abstract: A fuel injection pump for an internal combustion engine wherein a plunger is mounted in a barrel for sliding axial movement and rotation about its own axis, and the barrel is formed therein with a suction port and an outlet port. A metering groove is formed in the plunger and maintained in communication with a top of the plunger through a bore formed in the plunger, so that a desired amount of metered fuel can be delivered to the engine according to the load applied to the engine by varying the area and the time at which the metering groove is brought into communication with the outlet port, thereby varying the amount of fuel outflow. A pulsation control chamber of a greater sectional area is formed in the fuel passageway between a discharge valve of the pump and a fuel valve so as to intensify and prolong the duration of throbs of a pulsating current of fuel moved through the pulsation control chamber as it is delivered by pumping.
