  • Patent number: 8320343
Abstract: A CS searches in advance for information about unique words used by neighboring CSs to hold the information in a storage unit. When an LCH establishment request is made by a PS in the cell of the CS, it is confirmed whether or not there is an empty traffic slot. Further, with reference to the unique word information of the neighboring CSs of the same frequency and the same slot as the empty slot to be allocated, an unused unique word pattern is allocated.

  • Patent number: 8089923
Abstract: When the number of multiplexed connections of PSs to a CS is changed due to issuance of a connection request from other PS to the CS or the like, the CS selects a unique word pattern (new unique word) optimal for the new number of multiplexed connections, so as to request switching from an old unique word to a new unique word to each PS of the user who has established multiple access. When a response to the request for switching is received from the PS of each user, the CS transmits a synchronous burst signal including the new unique word to the PS, and the PS also returns the synchronous burst signal including the new unique word. Synchronization is thus established.

  • Patent number: 7890839
Abstract: An RSSI detection unit detects a level of a received signal. An error detection unit performs error detection of the received signal. An error correction control unit causes an error correction unit to perform error correction of the received signal only when the error detection unit detects an error and the level of the received signal detected by the RSSI detection unit is not lower than a predetermined value.

  • Patent number: 7881751
Abstract: In response to a connection request from a terminal, a base station provides a signal indicating a reception operation adapted to a transmission operation of the base station to the terminal. Based on the indicating signal, the terminal selects and performs the optimum reception operation. The terminal also provides its own reception operation information in advance to the base station. Based on the reception operation information, the base station transmits a reception operation indication to the terminal. These processes are realized with software by DSP (12, 14) and the like.

  • Patent number: 7756088
Abstract: A frame synchronizing unit of a slave base station synchronizes its own frame with a frame of the master base station, reception control slot setting control unit sets, as a reception control slot, a predetermined reception slot in its own frame matching in timing with a reception control slot in the frame of the master base station. A reception level obtaining unit of each of the base stations obtains a reception level of the reception control slot thus set when a link channel establishment request message is received in the set reception control slot. A traffic channel allocation control unit allocates a traffic channel with respect to a mobile station transmitting the link channel establishment request message to predetermined transmission and reception slots in the frame according to a traffic channel allocation instruction.

  • Patent number: 7570620
Abstract: A measuring unit inputs a detection received signal and measures a received RSSI value as the detection received signal. A first comparator inputs a plurality of received RSSI values measured by the measuring unit and compares them with a predetermined threshold value. A signal difference deriving unit derives a relative relationship among the plurality of RSSI values. A second comparator compares the relative relationship with a predetermined value. If the first comparator and the second comparator detect any malfunction, a decision unit receives notification accordingly from the first comparator and the second comparator and finally judges the malfunction of communication functions associated therewith.

  • Patent number: 7379749
Abstract: A base station transmits information in a downlink signal that identifies whether the base station is an adaptive array base station. If a terminal capable of performing diversity reception determines that a terminal to be connected is an adaptive array base station, it stops to perform diversity reception and set an antenna used for an uplink signal transmission to be used for an immediately following reception among a plurality of antennas (11, 12). Thus, a reception effectively utilizing transmission directivity from the adaptive array base station is attained, and interference wave can be reduced. These process are executed with software by DSP (18).

  • Patent number: 7349367
Abstract: In the case where two base stations are cascaded by a signal line for ensuring more information channels, if traffic increases in the base station on a master side, it can be considered that communication conditions of the base station on the master side are better than those of the base station on a slave side at that point in time. Sending of the control channel is switched between one and the other of the cascaded two base stations depending on the situations at that point in time, and therefore the base station providing good communication conditions can perform the communication with a mobile terminal to a larger extent so that the communication can be stable. Users can easily perform outgoing and incoming calls with respect to the base station. A base station, which can accommodate more users and can offer 64-kpbs service with an improved probability, is provided.
