  • Publication number: 20130040124
Abstract: The present invention relates to transparent antistatic films using graphene, and methods for preparing the same. The films include conductive particles comprising a single-layer or multi-layer graphene, and a binder. The films are prepared by dispersing graphene in a solvent to obtain a graphene dispersion; dissolving a curable binder to a solvent to obtain a binder solution; mixing the graphene dispersion, the binder solution and optionally an additive to obtain a coating solution; applying the coating solution onto a substrate and drying the solution to form a coated film; and curing the coated film. According to the present invention, transparent or semitransparent antistatic films having excellent permeability, abrasion resistance, scratch resistance, chemical stability and dimensional stability can be prepared. The films also have superior adhesion to substrates and applicability, and thus may be advantageously applied to rigid or flexible substrates.

  • Publication number: 20120121891
Abstract: The present invention relates to a 3-dimensional nanostructure having nanomaterials stacked on a graphene substrate; and more specifically, to a 3-dimensional nanostructure having at least one nanomaterial selected from nanotubes, nanowires, nanorods, nanoneedles and nanoparticles grown on a reduced graphene substrate. The present invention enables the achievement of a synergy effect of the 3-dimensional nanostructure hybridizing 1-dimensional nanomaterials and 2-dimensional graphene. The nanostructure according to the present invention is excellent in flexibility and elasticity, and can easily be transferred to any substrate having a non-planar surface. Also, all junctions in nanomaterials, a metal catalyst and a graphene film system form the ohmic electrical contact, which allows the nanostructure to easily be incorporated into a field-emitting device.

  • Publication number: 20110233452
Abstract: The present invention relates to a graphene composition having liquid crystalline properties and a preparation method thereof, and more particularly to a graphene composition wherein graphene having useful electrical properties is uniformly dispersed in a medium, whereby it is chemically and physically stable, exhibits a liquid crystal phase in a wide temperature range and has good compatibility with other compounds, and to a preparation method thereof. In the graphene composition, liquid crystalline properties are imparted to graphene, which can be produced in large amounts and has excellent mechanical, chemical and electrical properties, and thus the graphene composition can provide a chance to apply functional carbon materials in various fields, including nanocomposites, energy storage materials, and photonics.

  • Publication number: 20110230826
Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel type of a needle-free drug delivery system in which strong energy such as a laser beam is focused inside liquid contained in a sealed pressure chamber to cause bubble growth and the volume expansion in the sealed pressure chamber due to the bubble growth so as to elongate an elastic membrane, so that an instantaneous pressure is applied to a drug solution contained in a drug microchamber adjacent to the elastic membrane to allow the drug solution to be injected in the form of a liquid microjet, thereby enabling the drug solution to rapidly and accurately penetrate into the bodily tissues of the patient.

  • Patent number: 7679867
Abstract: A magnetic flux coupling-type superconducting current limiter is capable of protecting lines more effectively by winding reactors of a primary coil and a secondary coil in series in the structure where the primary coil and the secondary coils are wound in parallel in the conventional magnetic flux-lock type current limiter to increase a linked flux generated from an iron core. An electric conducting current which rapidly increases when a fault occurs is divided into the secondary coil and a superconducting coil to decrease a load on the superconducting element and it is opened more rapidly than the existing superconducting current limiter during a quench time such that it better limits a fault current.

  • Patent number: 7079579
Abstract: There is provided a block matching processor and method for flexibly supporting block matching motion estimation at motion vector prediction modes using matching blocks of various sizes. Each of difference unit (D-unit) arrays takes each smallest size matching block, calculates the difference between the pixels of a current frame and the pixels of a reference frame, and converts the differences to absolute values. An accumulator generates SADs (Sum of Absolute Difference) for the smallest size matching blocks and SADs for all the matching blocks of various sizes by tree-like hierarchical addition of the absolute values of the smallest size matching blocks received from the D-unit arrays.

  • Patent number: 6988234
Abstract: An apparatus for memory sharing between an interleaver and a deinterleaver in a turbo decoder is disclosed. A memory writes therein data obtained by interleaving data decoded by a decoder and writes therein data obtained by deinterleaving the data decoded by the decoder, in response to a control signal. A controller reads the stored interleaved data for a delay time of the decoder, generates a first control signal for writing the interleaved signal in the memory after a lapse of the delay time, writes the deinterleaved data in the memory for the delay time, and generates a second control signal for reading the stored deinterleaved data after a lapse of the delay time.
