  • Publication number: 20080254541
Abstract: A microchannel chip and a dilution method using the same capable of continuously diluting the diverse concentrations of solution by one time fluid injection using the microfluid technology are provided. The microchannels are formed in a plastic chip using the microfluid technology, and a width, a sectional area, or a length of the microchannel is regulated so that the flow rate of a diluted solution (e.g., buffer solution) and a sample (e.g., chemicals or medicament) is controlled. The diluted solution and the specimen are mixed in the mixing channel according to the flow rate, thereby diluting the sample. Such a diluted solution is mixed again with a diluted solution, carrying out the dilution. With the repeated dilution processes, continuously diluted solution is obtained.

  • Patent number: 7307544
Abstract: A method for communication between inside and outside of a transmission medium using the transmission medium as a communication line, includes the steps of: receiving an electric signal having information related to a transmission medium from a plurality of sensors inside the transmission medium; conducting the electric signal to the transmission medium; and sensing the electric signal flowing to the outside of the transmission medium. Because a modulating unit is not necessary, a power consumption is minimized. In addition, since an electric signal is directly conducted to a medium, it is not necessary to use an antenna, and thus, degradation of a reception rate according to a directional property of the antenna can be prevented. Moreover, since the electric signal is directly generated in the medium and the medium is directly used as an electric conductor, the overall size of a transmitter is reduced.

  • Publication number: 20070230404
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method of controlling power in a CDMA-2000 system. In a conventional CDMA-2000 system, a reverse-link power control algorithm has been employed, which is optimized only for voice communication. The purpose of the reverse-link power control for voice communication is to maintain the error rate of the frame received in the reverse channel below a certain rate (typically, an error rate 1%). As such, the reverse-link power control algorithm for voice communication is not suitable for a data service, the throughput of which needs to be maximized. Based on the above observation, the present invention suggests a method of implementing different algorithms according to the service type to be provided through a CDMA-2000 system. That is, if the service type is a voice service, the conventional reverse-link power control algorithm that is used for an IS-95A or IS-95B CDMA system is employed at a Base Station Subsystem (BTS).

  • Patent number: 7205803
Abstract: The digitally programmable delay circuit to correct timing skew between data and clock is developed. The digitally programmable delay circuit may be built by cascading delay cells. The delay circuit uses delay cells comprising simple digital elements such as inverters and tri-state inverters to eliminate the intrinsic delay and achieves linearity and monotinicity. The delay cell may be used as a building module which is repeatedly used in a serial fashion. The delay range is fully programmable from the delay of one delay cell to infinity if the chip area is available. The delay range can be scaled by adding more delay cells.
