  • Patent number: 9276182
Abstract: A heat radiation structure of a light emitting element has leads, each lead having a plurality of leg sections, and a light emitting chip mounted on any one of the leads. The present invention can provide a high-efficiency light emitting element, in which a thermal load is reduced by widening a connecting section through which a lead and a chip seating section of the light emitting element are connected, and the heat generated from a heat source can be more rapidly radiated to the outside. Further, the present invention can also provide a high-efficiency light emitting element, in which heat radiation fins are formed between a stopper and a molding portion of a lead of the light emitting element so that natural convection can occur between the heat radiation fins, and an area in which heat radiation can occur is widened to maximize a heat radiation effect.

  • Patent number: 9275586
Abstract: A method provides additional information from a server to a visible light communication terminal through visible light communication in an information display device having a Light Emitting Diode (LED) backlight unit. To this end, if content data regarding an image output through a screen of an information display device is provided from a server, it is determined whether additional information regarding an object of the image is included in the content data, and if so, the additional information is acquired from the content data. The information display device controls light emission of an LED backlight unit of a display unit based on the additional information, thus performing visible light communication. As such, various additional information regarding an object of an image displayed at a particular position of a current screen of the information display device can be provided to a visible light communication terminal.

  • Patent number: 9275663
Abstract: Technologies are described herein for utilizing a head heater to test temperature stability of a head of a storage device and to prevent the head from operating in an unstable temperature condition. A temperature condition of a read/write head in a storage device is ascertained and it is determined whether the temperature condition is within a predetermined range of temperature conditions in which the read/write head exhibits instability. If the temperature condition of the read/write head is within the predetermined range, a power level of a head heater of the read/write head is adjusted to change the temperature condition of the read/write head to be outside of the predetermined range.

  • Patent number: 9262553
Abstract: Recommendation systems are widely used in Internet applications. In current recommendation systems, users only play a passive role and have limited control over the recommendation generation process. As a result, there is often considerable mismatch between the recommendations made by these systems and the actual user interests, which are fine-grained and constantly evolving. With a user-powered distributed recommendation architecture, individual users can flexibly define fine-grained communities of interest in a declarative fashion and obtain recommendations accurately tailored to their interests by aggregating opinions of users in such communities. By combining a progressive sampling technique with data perturbation methods, the recommendation system is both scalable and privacy-preserving.

  • Publication number: 20160040168
Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition for treatment or metastasis suppression of cancers which includes a p34 expression inhibitor or activity inhibitor as an active ingredient. According to the present invention, the p34 protein knock-down causes monoubiquitination of PTEN and accordingly nuclear localization of PTEN is induced, as a result, an Akt pathway which is related to survival, proliferation, invasive properties and metastatic properties of tumors is inhibited, and thus there is an effect of significantly reducing clonogenic potential and tumor forming potential of various cancer cells which simultaneously express PTEN and NEDD4-1. Consequently, the p34 gene expression inhibitor or p34 protein activity inhibitor according to the present invention can be effectively used as a treatment agent or a metastasis suppression agent for cancers.
