  • Publication number: 20040029844
Abstract: Disclosed are a method for dispersing plant sterol for beverage and a plant sterol-dispersed beverage, of which particle size is nanometer-scale in dispersed beverage. The dispersion of plant sterols starts with the admixing of plant sterol to at least one emulsifier selected from the group consisting of sucrose fatty acid ester, sorbitan fatty acid ester and polyglycerine fatty acid ester, followed by melting the admixture by heating at 60 to 200° C. Afterwards, the molten substance is mixed with an aqueous beverage alone or an emulsifier-containing aqueous beverage in state of its own molten type or power type. This resulting mixture is stirred at a high speed to give a dispersion of plant sterols in an aqueous beverage. The beverage is superior in bioavailability, having good mouth feel, transparent aspect and no influence on the characteristic taste, flavor and color of the beverages.

  • Patent number: 6406190
Abstract: A joint type disc cage of a roller bearing in which a joint is provided at a sheared part of the disc cage so as to fit it into a single-pieced outer or inner race of the roller bearing. Owing to the joint structure of the sheared part of the disc cage, the installation of the disc cage can be easily carried out, and the installed disc cage is maintained in a circular form, so that the function of the disc cage becomes superior, and deformations, abrasions and degradations of the disc cage can be prevented, as well as ensuring the durability and safety of the roller bearing. The disc cage 1 is sheared at one place to form a sheared part 2 which forms two joint end portions 2a and 2b, so as to install the disc cage 1 into an annular installing groove 5 of the outer or inner race 4 and 4a of the roller bearing. The joint end portions 2a and 2b of the sheared part 2 are firmly engagedly coupled together, and therefore, actually the disc cage 1 performs like a non-sheared disc cage.

  • Publication number: 20020064548
Abstract: Disclosed are a method for dispersing plant sterol in aqueous substrates and a plant sterol-dispersed beverage. The dispersion of plant sterols starts with the admixing of plant sterol to an emulsifier, followed by melting the admixture by heating at 60 to 200° C. Afterwards, the molten substance is mixed with an aqueous beverage alone or an emulsifier-containing aqueous beverage. This resulting mixture is stirred at a high speed to give a dispersion of plant sterols in an aqueous beverage. Optionally, the dispersion may be homogenized. In the beverage thus obtained, there are contained nano-sized micelles which are superior in bioavailability, having no influence on the characteristic taste and flavor of the beverages. Also, the improvement in the dispersion stability of the plant sterol micelles has the effect of prolonging the life span of the beverage, guaranteeing the stability of the products for a long period of time.

  • Patent number: 6019518
Abstract: A cylindrical roller bearing is disclosed. Roller insertion slots are closed without forming a screw hole, but the closing of the insertion slot is firm, and the aesthetic appearance of the bearing is very perfect. Rollers 4 are inserted into operating channels 2c and 3c of inner and outer races 2 and 3 of the roller bearing 1. Insertion slots 2b and 3b are formed respectively on the collars 2a and 3a of the inner and outer races 2 and 3 to form a roller insertion hole 5 for inserting the rollers 4. The roller insertion holes 5 may be circular, rectangular, twin-arcuate or the like. After filling the rollers 4 into the operating channels 2c and 3c, a closing piece 6 is press-fitted into the insertion hole 5. The closing piece 6 may consist of two pieces 6a and 6b, and has a size larger than that of the insertion hole 5 by about 0.01 mm. Thus the closing pieces are firmly fitted into the insertion slots to such a degree that the closing pieces will never depart under any operating conditions.
