    Abstract: The present invention relates to a mobile terminal capable of providing path information, and a control method therefor. The mobile terminal according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a camera; and a control unit for activating, if an event occurs, the camera, detecting whether the mobile terminal is in a vehicle-mounted state and whether the vehicle is traveling by using images received through the camera and, if it is determined, according to the detection result, that the vehicle is traveling in a state in which the mobile terminal is mounted on the vehicle, activating a gesture function of controlling the event by recognizing a gesture of a user.
