    Abstract: An amperometric sensor for uric acid and a manufacturing method thereof are disclosed, in which polyacrylamide is used to fix catalase, uricase and ferrocenecarboxylic acid on a working electrode. In determining concentration of uric acid, hydrogen peroxide is produced when enzyme and uric acid react with each other and then a reduction current generated from enzyme on the electrode with an external voltage 200 mV applied is detected. In determining concentration of uric acid, a concentration range of 2.5-20 mg/dl is achieved and sensibility of the sensor in a linear portion is 5.17 uAcm?2(mg/dl)?1. In addition, reaction time required for the reaction between enzyme and uric acid is 5.17 uAcm?2(mg/dl)?1.

    Abstract: A reflective liquid crystal on silicon panel (reflective LCOS panel) for polarizing a light beam and converting the light beam into an image is provided. The reflective LCOS panel includes a silicon substrate, an opposite substrate, a liquid crystal layer and a polarizer. The silicon substrate has a pixel array thereon. The opposite substrate is disposed over the silicon substrate and has a transparent electrode thereon. The liquid crystal layer fills up the space between the pixel array of the silicon substrate and the transparent electrode of the opposite substrate. The polarizer is set up on the silicon substrate or the opposite substrate. As described above, the integration of the polarizer with the reflective LCOS panel inside a projection apparatus can effectively reduce the cost, volume and weight of the projection apparatus.

    Abstract: A method of embedding the forming of peripheral devices such as HV-LDMOS into the forming of flash memory is presented. A layered structure is formed with a first insulating layer formed on a substrate, and a poly silicon formed on the first insulating layer in the flash memory region. A mask layer is formed. Openings are formed in the flash memory region in the peripheral region. A local oxidation of silicon (LOCOS) is performed to form thick oxides on poly silicon, and a field oxide on silicon substrate respectively. The mask layer is removed. A control gate and a control gate oxide are formed on the thick oxide and the poly silicon. A gate electrode is formed with at least one end residing on a field oxide so that the resulting HV-LDMOS has a high breakdown voltage. Spacers and a source/drain of the flash cells and HV-LDMOSs are then formed.
