  • Publication number: 20120162181
Abstract: A display panel, a pixel circuit and a driving method of a differential voltage driving device are disclosed. The driving method includes: respectively supplying an alternating common voltage in a first polarity and a first display data in a second polarity to two terminals of the differential voltage driven device in a first frame; disconnecting the differential voltage driven device from the alternating common voltage, thereby keeping one terminal of the differential voltage driving device at the first polarity of the alternating common voltage; converting the alternating common voltage to the second polarity in a second frame which is consecutive to the first frame; and respectively supplying the alternating common voltage in the second polarity and a second display data in the first polarity to the two terminals of the differential voltage driving device in the second frame, here the first polarity is inverse to the second polarity.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a first vertical electrode, a second vertical electrode, a first pixel electrode, a first counter electrode, and a liquid crystal layer. The second substrate is disposed to be opposite to the first substrate, the liquid crystal layer is interposed between the first and second substrates. The liquid crystal layer includes polymer stabilized positive blue phase liquid crystal. The first vertical electrode is at an inner side of the first substrate, and faces the second substrate. The second vertical electrode is at an inner side surface of the second substrate and faces the first vertical electrode. The second vertical electrode and the first vertical electrode have different electrical potentials thus form a vertical electric field perpendicular to the first substrate and the second substrate. The first pixel electrode is at the inner side of the first substrate and faces the second substrate.

  • Patent number: 8094163
Abstract: A method of directing a viewer's attention in an image display to enhance the perceived image quality and thus the viewer's preference of the image is disclosed. An image with an area of interest (AOI) is provided. The AOI is briefly displayed for a first time period. Subsequently, the image is normally displayed in its entirety for a second time period that is longer than the first time period. As a result, the viewer's attention is involuntarily directed to the AOI in a subliminal manner.

  • Publication number: 20110284886
Abstract: A light emitting module is revealed. The light emitting module includes a main substrate disposed with LED lights. The main substrate is connected correspondingly to a connector that is electrically connected with a light holder. A plurality light emitting sets is disposed circularly under the main substrate. Thereby the LED lights on the main substrate project light upward while the light emitting sets provide light under the main substrate and therearound. Thus the light emitting module provides shadow-free illumination. While being used together with a light shade, figures on the light shade are projected and enlarged so as to enhance visual aesthetics.

  • Publication number: 20110261306
Abstract: A method for fabricating a blue phase liquid crystal display is provided. A first substrate is arranged opposite to a second substrate, in which the first and second substrates include a first and a second electrode, respectively. A blue phase liquid crystal layer is sealed between the first substrate and the second substrate, in which the blue phase liquid crystal layer includes a positive blue phase liquid crystal and a monomer. A voltage is applied to the first electrode and the second electrode such that a vertical electric field is formed. The blue phase liquid crystal layer is illuminated with a light source such that the monomer performs polymerization to produce a polymer-stabilized positive blue phase liquid crystal. A blue phase liquid crystal display is also disclosed herein.

  • Publication number: 20110127920
Abstract: The present invention relates to a protection circuit for an alternating current light emitting diode which mainly comprises light emitting diodes placed in series and parallel with loads in a light emitting diode lamp device. When one of the light emitting diodes has been damaged, the current flows through the load in parallel with the light emitting diode and flows to the next light emitting diode. Only the damaged light emitting diode is off to keep from causing an open circuit in the overall circuitry and to prevent the overall lamp device from turning off and not emitting light. In addition to the device being easier to use, finding the damaged light emitting diode for replacement is faster, easier and more convenient when repairing the damaged light emitting diode, thereby greatly enhancing the usefulness and practicability of the protection circuit for an alternating current light emitting diode.

  • Publication number: 20110063818
Abstract: A desk lamp in which the power input terminal of the desk lamp is connected to a charge circuit and an input terminal of a relay. The charge circuit enables the charging for a charge battery accommodated in a battery chamber of the base, while the other input terminal of the relay is also connected to the charge battery. In electric power cut state, power supply is automatically switched to the mode with the electricity coming from the charge battery, and an auxiliary lamp continue to emit light to serve as a night light when the switch is turned off. The desk lamp can be used as an emergency light during electric power cut state. The position of the lamp itself can be clearly indicated for users to find easily.
