  • Publication number: 20130222947
Abstract: A removable cover assembly for a data storage device comprises a first cover coupled with a casing base of a data storage device via a plurality of screws. A second cover is disposed upon a rib of the casing base and is coupled with the rib. The second cover is configured with a groove which delineates a perimeter separating an interior region of the second cover from an exterior region of the second cover. A space between the first cover and the casing base is filled with a low-density gas. The groove defines the region in the second cover in which separation of the interior region from the exterior region is to occur to expose the screws.

  • Publication number: 20130021695
Abstract: A magnetic disk device including: one or more disk-shaped magnetic disks; a spindle motor; a magnetic head; an arm for supporting the magnetic head; an enclosure base for housing the above components; an adjacent facing surface which lies in the enclosure base adjacent to the magnetic disk; a non-adjacent facing surface which lies in the enclosure opposite the magnetic disk and is further from the magnetic disk than the adjacent facing surface; a connecting surface for connecting the adjacent facing surface and the non-adjacent facing surface; and a groove which extends in the circumferential direction of the magnetic disk on the magnetic disk inner circumferential side of the adjacent facing surface, wherein one end of the groove is exposed at the connecting surface, while the other end has an end face which is perpendicular to the direction of rotation of the magnetic disk.

  • Patent number: 8256502
Abstract: A heat exchange member comprising a liquid layer and a solid layer capable of conducting a heat exchange reaction with the liquid layer upon their solid-liquid contact at an interface between the solid layer and the solid layer, wherein the solid layer further comprises on a surface thereof which is contacted with the liquid layer a surface coating layer capable of reducing a difference of the vibration between a thermal vibration of the solid and a thermal vibration of the liquid, and the surface coating layer comprises a plurality of fibrous structures arranged on a surface of the solid layer, and a heat exchange apparatus using the heat exchange member.
