    Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a reserve tank mounting structure capable of absorbing displacement of a reserve tank to disperse a load caused by vibration of a vehicle. A bracket includes front and rear fastening points for fixing a reserve tank by bolt members from a vertical direction, corresponding to front and rear mounting arms projecting in a vehicle width direction from positions spaced apart from each other in a vehicle longitudinal direction with a cap opening therebetween. In a state where the reserve tank is fixed to a vehicle body, the cap opening is disposed between the fastening points.

The sleeve is press-formed from steel sheet and fit into the blind bore of the housing. The guide pin is mounted on the end of the screw shaft, via a through aperture formed in the screw shaft. The guide pin axially movably engages the sleeve.

The stroke simulator includes a simulator piston which is displaced by sliding on a sliding surface formed in a first cylinder, and a first return spring which is housed in the first cylinder and applies, to the simulator piston, a reaction force which is generated by an elastic deformation of the spring under a pressing force due to a displacement of the simulator piston, and generates the reaction force which is applied to the simulator piston as a brake reaction force for a brake operating element. The stroke simulator is characterized in that a cup seal for sealing a gap formed between the sliding surface and the simulator piston is mounted in the middle in the axial direction of the sliding surface.

This structure enables the number of components to be reduced, reduces the size of the substrate, and also prevents air from collecting inside the reservoir union port.
