  • Publication number: 20140000254
Abstract: A vehicular hydraulic-pressure-generation device wherein a first bush compressively deforms due to pressure from a simulator piston that moves when hydraulic pressure produced when a brake pedal is depressed is transmitted into a cylinder part. Said vehicular hydraulic-pressure-generation device thus creates artificial reaction-force characteristics with respect to the position of the brake pedal. The aforementioned first bush has a third elastic modulus, which is smaller than a second elastic modulus, and is provided in parallel with a first return spring. The compressive deformation of the first bush occurs over a second region that overlaps a first region in which compressive deformation of the return spring primarily occurs. This makes the brake pedal move more smoothly, reducing the feeling of incongruity resulting from a V-shaped singularity in the reaction-force characteristics with respect to brake pedal position.

  • Publication number: 20130263753
Abstract: A blasting cartridge includes a generally cylindrical blasting container, a blasting substance filled in the blasting container, a pair of leadwires contained in the blasting container, and a single thin metal wire connected to tip portions of the pair of leadwires. The leadwires and the thin metal wire are positioned within the blasting substance within the blasting container. The blasting substance is nitromethane, and the thin metal wire is formed of tungsten. With an electric discharge impact blasting apparatus, since the thin metal wire has a higher heating value than a copper wire because of its higher resistance and vaporizes at higher temperatures, it is possible to obtain a greater blasting force at lower voltages than with a blasting apparatus using a copper wire.

  • Patent number: 8333442
Abstract: When an electrical fluid pressure generator fails and a wheel cylinder is operated by brake fluid pressure generated by a master cylinder, if a first fluid pressure system leading to a rear fluid chamber of the electrical fluid pressure generator fails and is opened to the atmosphere, braking is performed by brake fluid pressure of a second fluid pressure system transmitted from the master cylinder through a front fluid chamber of the electrical fluid pressure generator to a wheel cylinder. At this time, a front supply port, which communicates through a front second cup seal, does not communicate with the master cylinder but with a reservoir. Such configuration prevents leakage of the brake fluid pressure generated by the master cylinder through the front supply port, the front second cup seal and the rear fluid chamber, thereby ensuring braking by the second fluid pressure system.
