  • Publication number: 20040186453
Abstract: A pants-type disposable wearing article comprises a liquid-impervious base sheet and a liquid-absorbent panel and has a waist-hole and a pair of leg-holes. Each of the second elastic members has transversely opposite the fixed portions secured to the waist lateral zones in vicinities of the edges thereof and to the crotch lateral zones in vicinities of the edges thereof and a free portion extending in the transverse direction between the opposite fixed portions across the panel and secured neither to the base sheet nor to the panel. In the crotch lateral zones and in the lower areas of the respective waist lateral zones placed aside toward the crotch region, the free portions of the respective waist-surrounding second elastic members three-dimensionally intersect the leg-surrounding elastic members. At the crossover points of the second elastic members and the leg-surrounding elastic members, these elastic members are not secured one to another, i.e., let free one from another.

  • Patent number: 6710222
Abstract: A disposable undergarment having a liquid-absorbent panel that includes a body fluid absorbing/holding layer formed with a plurality of depressions each extending in the thickness direction thereof and a nonwoven fabric layer placed upon upper surface of the absorbing/holding layer. Heat-sealable fibers contained in the absorbing/holding layer are heat-sealed with the nonwoven fabric layer over contacting surfaces of these absorbing/holding layer and the nonwoven fabric layer. Furthermore, the nonwoven fabric layer is partially engaged in the depressions of the absorbing/holding layer so that the heat-sealable synthetic fibers contained in the absorbing/holding layer are heat-sealed with the nonwoven fabric layer also over contacting surfaces of these two layers in the respective depressions.

  • Patent number: 6676647
Abstract: The disposable pull-on undergarment that has first and second waist regions and a crotch region extending between these two waist regions. The waist regions are connected with each other in bonding zones extending along transversely opposite side edge portions thereof so as to define a waist-opening and a pair of leg-openings. First elastic members are bonded under tension to peripheral edge of the waist-opening and second elastic members are bonded under tension to peripheral edges of the leg-openings so that respective opposite ends of the first elastic members are positioned and fixed at first zones defined immediately inside the bonding zones in a circumferential direction of the waist-opening and respective opposite ends of the second elastic members are positioned and fixed at second zones defined immediately inside the bonding zones in a circumferential direction Y of the leg-openings.

  • Publication number: 20020045872
Abstract: A disposable pull-on undergarment includes each of front and rear waist-encircling regions having a first elasticized zone and a second elasticized zone extending in a waist-encircling direction. Tensile stress of the first elasticized zone is greater than that of the second elasticized zone. The undergarment thus constituted can reduce an incidence of intense pressure locally exerted on a waist of a wearer of the undergarment and avoid an occasion whereby an excrement-absorbing function of a core is hindered.
