  • Publication number: 20060040629
Abstract: A gain control circuit 12 comprises an FET 41 operating as a variable resistor. A gate terminal of the FET 41 is supplied with a control voltage VC applied to a gain control terminal 23. A source terminal and a drain terminal of the FET 41 are supplied with a reference voltage Vref1 obtained by a reference voltage circuit 13. The reference voltage Vref1 is controlled so as to compensate for a variation in the threshold voltage of the FET 41. The resistance value of the FET 41 is changed in accordance with the control voltage VC, and thus the gain of the high frequency amplification circuit 10 is also continuously changed.

  • Publication number: 20060038986
Abstract: A method to solve the problem of a technique generally used to detect a defect of a semiconductor by calculating the differential image based on pattern matching, which requires that a reference image must be picked up to pick up an image of the inspection position in an area with the semiconductor pattern having no periodicity, resulting in a low throughput. The image of the inspection position is divided into local areas, each local area is matched with the local area of the image already stored and the difference between the local areas thus matched is determined to extract a defect area.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method of manufacturing a substrate for MVA type or transreflective liquid crystal display device capable of obtaining a substrate for liquid crystal display device having a good display quality while simplifying the production process and a method of manufacturing a liquid crystal display device using same. A positive-working resist is spread over a glass substrate to form a resist layer thereon. The resist layer is exposed to light and developed to form a resist pattern having linear patterns. The linear pattern in the resist pattern is then irradiated with ultraviolet rays. The resist pattern is then subjected to heat treatment at a predetermined temperature to form a structure having a flat portion formed by the melt flow of the linear pattern irradiated with ultraviolet rays and a protrusion formed by the reflow of the linear pattern unirradiated with ultraviolet rays.
