  • Patent number: 7249545
Abstract: A numerically controlled machine tool can simultaneously perform a variety of machining operations using work on a first main shaft and work on a second main shaft. A first tool post is movable together with a second main shaft in the direction of a main shaft axis and in a direction orthogonal thereto in a plane, while a second tool post is movable at least in the same biaxial direction as the directions of movement of the first tool post. A control device superposes the movement required for the first tool post to machine work on the movement required for the second tool post to machine work, so that the machining operation of the work by the tool on the first tool post and the machining operation of the work by the tool on the second tool post are simultaneously performed.

  • Publication number: 20070170603
Abstract: There is provided a hybrid mounted device that includes a element such as semiconductor laser diode (LD), and a board such as a silicon platform having formed thereon an optical waveguide. The LD is mounted to the silicon platform, and is optically coupled to the optical waveguide. The mounting position of the LD is determined by positioning first alignment marks formed on the board and second alignment marks formed on the LD. In this configuration, initial positional deviation amount measuring marks that can measure the initial positional deviation amount of the first alignment marks themselves are formed on the board. The mounting position of the is corrected to a position where the second alignment marks are shifted with respect to the first alignment marks according to the initial positional deviation amount measured from the initial positional deviation amount measuring marks.

  • Publication number: 20070171773
Abstract: An optical disc wherein recording can be performed on a label plane even only by an optical disc recording/reproducing device using a direct-current motor as a power supply of an optical pickup in a traverse direction. The optical disc is provided with a visible information recording layer (207), which can record visible information by changing a physical structure by irradiation light of the optical pickup, and a radius position information recording part (201). Therefore, even when an optical disc recording/reproducing device using a direct-current motor as a power supply of the optical pickup in the traverse direction, the contents of the radius position information recording part (201) are read and recorded on the label plane only by the device.

  • Publication number: 20070172397
Abstract: Collectors are provided on a pair of exhaust passages extending in parallel from an internal combustion engine respectively. Each of the collectors collects black smoke particles (unclean substance) included in exhaust gas. One of a pair of differential pressure detectors detects a first differential pressure between upstream and downstream of one of the collectors while the other differential pressure detector detects a second differential pressure between upstream and downstream of the other collector. Upon finishing a regeneration process of removing the black smoke particles in each of the collectors, a control computer estimates an exhaust gas flow rate of each of the exhaust passages based on the first differential pressure and the second differential pressure.
