    Abstract: A rotary connector device includes one cover having an outer peripheral wall, the other cover having an inner peripheral wall, and a plurality of flat harnesses which are received in a generally annular shape within a space formed by the two covers, and are rotated and bent in accordance with a rotational motion of one of the two covers. There are provided a plurality of guide portions for guiding the plurality of flat harnesses along the outer peripheral wall and/or the inner peripheral wall independently of each other. The plurality of guide portions are spaced from each other in a harness longitudinal direction.     Abstract: A rotary connector device includes a fixed cover, a rotary cover rotatable relative the fixed cover, a bottom cover fixed to the fixed cover, flat harnesses received within an annular space formed by these covers, and a rotary tube which passes through a hole formed through the bottom cover, and is fixed to the rotary cover. There is provided a dust prevention ring plate which is disposed in intimate contact with an outer peripheral surface of the rotary tube and an inner peripheral edge of the hole of the bottom cover. The ring plate is held between an inner peripheral wall of the rotary cover and an annular portion of the rotary tube. The ring plate is retainingly engaged with at least one of the rotary cover and the rotary tube against movement relative thereto in a direction of the periphery of the ring plate.

    Abstract: A dressing apparatus DA is constructed from a pad holding mechanism 10 which holds a polishing pad 15 that has a doughnut disk-form pad surface 15a, and which causes this polishing pad 15 to rotate, a dressing tool 2 which has a substantially rectangular dressing surface 3, and a dressing tool holding mechanism 1 which holds the dressing tool 2 so that the dressing surface 3 of this dressing tool 2 is caused to face the pad surface 15a of the polishing pad 15 that is held and caused to rotate by the pad holding mechanism 10. The dressing tool holding mechanism 1 causes the held dressing tool 2 to contact the pad surface 15a in a state in which the centerline L1 in the direction of width of the dressing surface 3 is oriented so that this centerline extends in the radial direction of the pad surface 15a, and thus causes dressing to be performed. As a result, the flatness of the working surface following dressing can be improved.

    Abstract: An electrical connecting device is provided between a steering wheel of a vehicle and a steering column. The device includes a housing 1 and a rotor 2 rotatably arranged in the housing 1, defining an annular cable accommodating chamber 4 between the rotor 2 and the housing 1. A flexible flat cable 5 is accommodated in the cable accommodating chamber 4. The end portion of the cable 5 is wound along an inner peripheral face 4a of the chamber 4, while the other end portion of the cable 5 is wound along an outer peripheral face 4b. On an upper face 4c in the chamber 4, an inside projection 15 is formed so as to project downward on the inner peripheral side of the chamber 4, while an outside projection 16 is formed on the outer peripheral side of the chamber 4. The amount of projection of the inside projection 15 is smaller than the amount of projection of the outside projection 16.
