  • Publication number: 20060231072
Abstract: A spring to ensure default opening is constituted by a single piano wire where a return spring with a larger coil diameter and a default spring with a smaller coil diameter are connected via a connection arm formed with a spring hook. The spring with a smaller coil diameter is inserted in the spring with a larger coil diameter thereby the springs are overlapped in an axial direction as a duplex-winding spring structure. Further, a magnetic sensor is provided in a position inside the both spring with a larger coil diameter and spring with a smaller coil diameter.

  • Patent number: 6946831
Abstract: There is provided a compact, noncontact rotary position sensor that accurately detects a rotary position of a rotating object. A magnetism throttling portion is provided in a midway point of a magnetic path. Two magnetic induction elements are disposed adjacently each other at the magnetism throttling portion. This arrangement effectively allows a magnetic flux to converge at the location, at which the magnetic induction elements are mounted. A noncontact rotary position sensor offering high sensitivity and high accuracy can then be obtained. It is also possible to simplify routing of signal lines from the two magnetic induction elements, since the two magnetic induction elements are adjacent to each other.

  • Patent number: 6837588
Abstract: A spread illuminating apparatus having a light conductive plate made of a light transmissible material and a bar-like lamp disposed along and close to an end face of the light conductive plate. The spread illuminating apparatus also having a light reflection pattern having a stair-like configuration from a cross-sectional perspective. The light reflection pattern is formed on a major face of the light conductive plate. The spread illuminating apparatus also has a light dispersive-reflection pattern which has, for example, a plurality of convex surfaces which are formed on a major face of the light conductive plate opposite to the major face of the light conductive plate, which is provided with the light reflection pattern.

  • Patent number: 6712492
Abstract: The present invention provides a spread illuminating apparatus which can ensure uniform brightness over its entire screen. A light reflection-diffusion layer is formed on a light conductive member at a face provided with an optical path conversion means. Light emitted from spot-like light sources is reflected efficiently by the light reflection-diffusion layer toward a transparent substrate, and light intensity degrades in a substantially linear manner with the increase in distance from respective spot-like light sources. Sharp change of brightness on an observation surface can be prevented due to the light intensity degrading linearly.

  • Patent number: 6631998
Abstract: A spread illuminating apparatus provides a uniform illuminance, an accurate illumination, an improved visibility, and an expanded screen size. Light sources (5a, 5b) comprising bar-like light conductive members (3a, 3b) and spot-like light sources (4a, 4b), respectively, are disposed close to end surfaces (8a, 8b) of a transparent substrate (2). A light reflection pattern (29) is formed on a surface of the transparent substrate (2) along the length of the light conductive members (3a, 3b). The light reflection pattern (29) comprises grooves (27) and flat portions (28) adjacent to the grooves. The grooves (27) are shaped trapezoidal in section, and the depth thereof increases in proportion to the increase in distance from the light sources (5a, 5b) and measures maximum at the center of the transparent substrate (2).

  • Patent number: 6047680
Abstract: To achieve an integration of components and the rationalization of the default opening mechanism of the throttle valve, a reduction of the load of the motor drive and a stabilization of the throttle control operation. In a default opening setting mechanism with which the default opening of the throttle valve 24 is maintained to be larger than the fully closed position when the electric current does not pass through the motor 12 driving the throttle shaft 18, the throttle lever 3 and the sleeve 45 are inserted and fixed, and the sleeve 42 united together with the return lever 2 is engaged with the sleeve 45 so as to be enabled to rotate in relative to the sleeve 45. The sleeve 42 is energized by the return coil in the close direction of the throttle valve 24 up to the initial opening position. This energized operation enables the return lever 2 to be coupled with the sleeve 3.
