  • Patent number: 8046907
Abstract: In an electronic component placement method in which electronic components are picked up from a plurality of component supply sections which supply electronic components using a plurality of mounting heads which are provided corresponding to the respective component supply sections, and the electronic components are transferred and mounted on a substrate in a same placing stage, in performing the component transferring and mounting operations, head interference areas which constitute exclusive operating regions to which only the specified mounting heads are allowed to access are set for every placing turn. Due to such a constitution, in the component placement operation, it is possible to rationally set the accessible region without causing the interference of one mounting head with another mounting head thus shortening a placing tact time by excluding wasteful standby times of the mounting heads.

  • Patent number: 8049296
Abstract: A deep isolation trench extending from the main surface of a substrate to a desired depth is formed on the substrate with an insulating film in buried in it to form a through isolation portion. Subsequently, after a MOSFET is formed on the main surface of the substrate, an interlayer insulating film is deposited on the main surface of the substrate. Then, a deep conduction trench extending from the upper surface of the interlayer insulating film to a depth within the thickness of the substrate is formed in a region surrounded by the through isolation portion. Subsequently, a conductive film is buried in the deep conduction trench to form through interconnect portion. Then, after the undersurface of the substrate is ground and polished to an extent not to expose the through isolation portion and the through interconnect portion, wet etching is performed to an extent to expose parts of the lower portion of each of the through isolation portion and the through interconnect portion.

Abstract: A surface processing method and a surface processing agent for effectively removing smear produced in a via or the like are disclosed. The smear is to be removed without etching an inner metalized layer without using expensive permanganates that might impose a greater load on an environment and operators. By removing the smear, the tightness in adhesion between an inner metalized circuit layer and plating metal as well as reliability in electrical connection may be improved. To this end, a surface processing method for a resin-containing substrate of a printed circuit board is provided in which the smear left in an opening, such as a blind via, a through-hole or a trench, formed in the substrate, may be removed without etching a metalized inner layer.
