  • Publication number: 20050203209
Abstract: A pigmented ink composition comprising a pigment, a resin having an acidic group and an organic solvent having a boiling point of at least 150° C. which is present in an amount of from 50 to 90% by weight based on the whole weight of the ink composition. When this ink composition is subjected to an printed layer-sliding test in which the ink composition is applied on a cationically treated printing medium with a #4 bar coater (available from TOYO SEIKI KOGYO CO., LTD.) and dried and then the printed surface is slid with a cloth on which a weight of 50 g is placed, the printed record is not grazed. This ink composition contains the pigment with a small dispersion particle size and has good water resistance, can be printed on a plain paper sheet without cockling, and suffers from no grazing of printed records when the ink composition is printed on a cationically treated paper sheet.

  • Publication number: 20050200639
Abstract: An inkjet apparatus 100 includes a plurality of nozzles 200, a plurality of piezoelectric elements 204, a drive voltage generator 406 and a plurality of switches 403. The plurality of piezoelectric elements 204 is provided in one-to-one correspondence with the plurality of nozzles 200. The drive voltage generator 406 generates a drive voltage having a waveform Vd. Each switch 403 adjusts the waveform Vd of the drive voltage. Each of the plurality of piezoelectric elements 204 applies pressure to a corresponding nozzle 200 to eject ink droplets therefrom in response to the drive voltage having an adjusted waveform Vd.

  • Publication number: 20050200319
Abstract: In order to provide high-quality image display by correcting and uniformizing the nonuniformity of electron emission characteristics, a predetermined arithmetic operation is performed by using correction values for correcting the nonuniformities of luminance caused by the electron emission devices when a predetermined voltage is applied thereto, thereby calculating correction values when the voltage having a plurality of voltage amplitude values is applied thereto. Corrected image data are calculated on the basis of the calculated correction values, and a drive signal is outputted to drive the electron emission devices on the basis of the corrected image data.

  • Publication number: 20050201801
Abstract: A wire dot printer head of the present invention has an armature that has an arm supporting a printing wire and pivotably provided at the position opposite to the core, and a coil spring that one end comes in contact with the arm for urging the armature in the direction away from the core, wherein the one end of the coil spring supported by the supporting member is brought into contact with the armature to apply return force to the armature. In order to prevent the breakdown of the armature due to a contact of the coil spring and to realize a stabilized urging operation of the coil spring, a winding end of the coil spring at the one end is located at the position inside of the coil spring and nearer to the supporting member from the contact position where the coil spring comes in contact with the armature.

  • Publication number: 20050201755
Abstract: A power-down delay unit 15 for delaying cutoff of a voltage is provided in the power supply line for supplying power to an optical module 14 of a transponder unit 16 of each wavelength. The power-down delay unit 15 assigns a different delay in power disconnection each wavelength. The length of the delay is a time required by an AMP unit or longer to change from an ALC mode to an AGC mode. With the configuration, when the power supply for supplying power to the plurality of transponder units 16 becomes faulty and output of a number of wavelengths simultaneously stops, the actual optical signal gradually stops output wavelength by one wavelength. Thereby a nonlinear effect because of going up of a power of an optical signal too much is not occurred, therefore it is able to prevent an undesired influence for a wavelength not to be stopped.

  • Publication number: 20050204046
Abstract: A data receiving apparatus 200 transmits, to a data transmitting apparatus 400, a content ID, a compression method and an extent of a bit rate (S1201). The data transmitting apparatus 400 specifies the compression method and the bit rate and replies to the data receiving apparatus 200 (S1202). The data transmitting apparatus 400 performs decoding of content by the compression method and starts a distribution of content at the bit rate (S1207). During this time, when receiving a “bit rate change request” from the data receiving apparatus 200 (S1208), the data transmitting apparatus 400 notifies, to the data receiving apparatus 200, by determining a new bit rate (S1210) and restarts the content distribution at the changed bit rate (S1213 to S1215).

  • Patent number: 6942891
Abstract: Process exhaust gas is sampled, and the components of the process exhaust gas are analyzed by a Fourier-transform infrared spectroscope (FT-IR) (26). The analysis result is compared with a reference analysis result obtained from an analysis of process exhaust gas generated in an operation performed under reference process conditions. If the amount of a gas component changes to an amount that is outside a predetermined range set around a reference value obtained from the reference analysis result, a signal indicating a process error is outputted. Instead of the output of the signal indicating a process error, the process conditions can be automatically adjusted.

  • Publication number: 20050196192
Abstract: Provided is an image forming apparatus support structure which permits improvements in both strength and dimensional accuracy, and which can also accommodate increases in size. Because respective coupling member(s) and steel channel of respective post member(s) may be sequentially and individually connected, it is possible to improve support structure dimensional accuracy, it being possible to assemble support structure(s) such that deviation(s) in the respective coupling member(s) and the respective post member(s) offset(s) one another. Furthermore, steel channel is suitable for supporting load(s) in vertical direction(s). Moreover, respective coupling member(s) may serve as brace(s) when interposed between respective post members. Where this is the case, strength of the overall support structure may be made extremely high, and strain exhibited by the overall support structure may be reduced.
