  • Publication number: 20100330994
Abstract: When a handover request for performing a handover of a terminal (70) from a macro cell C1 to a CSG cell C2 is received from an SeNB 10 (S8), a base station (TeNB) (40) of the CSG cell C2 transmits a handover response in accordance with a handover enabled/disabled state (S12). The handover response includes an identifier of the terminal (70) in the CSG cell C2. Upon receiving the response, the SeNB (10) notifies the identifier to the terminal (70) (S14). The TeNB (40) repeatedly transmits a dedicated signal containing a handover command via a dedicated channel set using the identifier at an interval shorter than a gap period (S18). Accordingly, whether or not access is permitted can be judged promptly and a smooth handover can be realized.

  • Publication number: 20100271966
Abstract: Disclosed is a technique of efficiently collecting communication quality information with excellent responsiveness in wireless resource management. According to the technique, a RRM 110 distributes measurement content information showing measurement contents for recognizing a wireless communication status to each AP 230, and each AP stores the measurement content information. For example, to recognize a wireless resource use status of an AP, the RRM transmits trigger transmission instruction information to an eNB 150, as a result of which trigger information is transmitted throughout a communication area of the eNB. A UE 301 that has received the trigger information acquires the measurement content information from an AP (for example, AP_a 230a) to which it is connected, and performs a measurement process and reports a measurement result to the RRM via the eNB based on the measurement content information.

  • Publication number: 20100216454
Abstract: It is possible to provide a radio transmission device, a radio reception device, and a radio communication system which can effectively use a resource of a unicast/MBMS cell and prevent increase of a signaling amount accompanying a cell switching. A UE measures a reception level of an MEMS-dedicated cell. When the measured reception level is below a first threshold value, the UE switches the serving MBMS cell from the MBMS-dedicated cell to the unicast/MBMS cell. Moreover, when the reception level of the MBMS-dedicated cell exceeds a second threshold value obtained by adding an offset value to the first threshold value, the serving MBMS cell is switched from the unicast/MBMS cell to the MBMS-dedicated cell.

  • Publication number: 20100165905
Abstract: It is possible to provide a core network device, a radio communication base station device, and a radio communication method which can improve the radio resource use efficiency of the entire network without increasing UE battery consumption. According to the devices and the method, a user quantity counting unit (163) of UPE (160) counts the number of UE which have performed a position registration in each position registration area containing a plurality of cells. A user quantity comparing unit (164) selects MCT if the counted UE quantity is not smaller than a predetermined threshold value and SCT if the counted UE quantity is smaller than the predetermined threshold value, thereby appropriately performing switching between SCT and MCT in accordance with the UE quantity. Only when the SCT is selected by the UPE (160), eNB counts the number of users in the cell managed by the local device.

  • Publication number: 20100118781
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for transmitting data via a protocol sublayer of the mobile node during e.g. a handover that comprises the re-establishment of the protocol sublayer. The mobile node anticipates the handover, and has therefore more time to empty its transmission buffer of the protocol sublayer. Also, the segmentation of service data units (SDUs) into protocol data units (PDUs) is halted upon detecting the upcoming handover. The remaining unacknowledged PDUs in the buffer are then re-transmitted to the source base station such that the source base station can reassemble the corresponding SDUs. Also, the UE may prioritize the re-transmission of the unacknowledged PDUs depending on the priorities of the respective radio bearers. Therefore, after performing the handover to the target base station, the previously transmitted PDUs do not have to be transmitted again, as would be the case when no retransmission of unacknowledged PDUs takes place.

  • Publication number: 20100048209
Abstract: A wireless communication terminal apparatus and a wireless communication method wherein a measurement operation, which is suitable for a long DRX/DTX interval, is controlled without providing any new signaling between a terminal and a base station. When a DRX threshold terminal status determining part (107) determines that a set a DRX/DTX interval is longer than a DRX threshold, a measurement process deciding part (108) instructs a measurement implementing part (109) to use information for cell reselection. The measurement implementing part (109) then uses the information for cell reselection to perform a measurement. When a result of the measurement satisfies a cell reselection requirement, a measurement report transmission process deciding part (110) decides a transmission of a measurement report, which is then transmitted from a transmitting part (111) to a wireless communication base station apparatus currently connected.

  • Publication number: 20090275319
Abstract: A wireless communication terminal apparatus, a wireless communication base station apparatus, a wireless communication system and a telephone call connecting method wherein the message size in a telephone call connection can be reduced. A broadcast information producing part (203) assigns cell level information, which is preconfiguration information managed by the cell level, and PLMN level information, which is preconfiguration information managed by the PLMN level, to different transmission units to produce broadcast information, which is then broadcasted from a broadcast information transmitting part (204) to UEs. A preconfiguration usage deciding part (208) determines whether a UE, which sets a channel, can use a preconfiguration. If the UE can use a preconfiguration, a control information producing part (209) causes control information to include the corresponding index, and then the control information is transmitted from a control information transmitting part (210) to the UE.

  • Publication number: 20090274086
Abstract: Method for informing a mobile terminal (MN), which is located in a first cell, on system information of a second cell. In particular, pointers to the system information are transmitted from the base station of the first cell to the mobile node, while the mobile node is located in the first cell. The MN processes said pointer, comprising e.g. information on the transmission format and timing of system information in the second cell. Using an acquisition gap assigned by the network, the MN changes the frequency to the second frequency so as to acquire the system information based on the previously received scheduling information. Thus, the acquisition time for important system information may be reduced, as no Master Information Block on the second frequency has to be processed first, in order to acquire the system information.
