  • Patent number: 11948091
Abstract: There is provided with an image identification apparatus. An extraction unit extracts a feature value of an image from image data using a Neural Network (NN). A processing unit identifies the image based on the feature value extracted by the extraction unit. The NN comprises a plurality of calculation layers connected hierarchically. The NN includes a plurality of sub-neural networks for performing processing of calculation layers after a specific calculation layer. Mutually different data from an output of the specific calculation layer are respectively inputted to the plurality of sub-neural networks.

  • Patent number: 11932241
Abstract: A driving assist system executes driving assist control for avoiding a collision with a target ahead of a vehicle. The driving assist control operates when the target exists within an assist area. A crossing target is the target crossing a roadway area ahead of the vehicle from a first side toward a second side. The assist area for the crossing target is divided into a plurality of divided assist areas including a first assist area located on the first side as viewed from the vehicle and a second assist area located on the second side as viewed from the vehicle. When the crossing target exists in the second assist area, the driving assist system decreases a control strength of the driving assist control as compared with a case where the crossing target exists in the first assist area.

  • Patent number: 9609204
Abstract: An auto-focus device, for eliminating an uncomfortable feeling when phase difference AF is switched to optical path length difference AF when an arbitrary area is set as a focusing target area, and a method for controlling operation of the same. A desired area is set as the focusing target area. Until a first threshold value position is reached, the focus lens is moved based on a phase difference AF evaluation value obtained from a phase difference AF sensor so as to bring the center portion of the imaging area into focus. Until a second threshold value position is reached, the focus lens is moved based on a phase difference AF evaluation value which is obtained from a signal of an area corresponding to the set focusing target area. When the focus lens reaches the second threshold value position, the focus lens is positioned at the focusing position.

Abstract: This invention provides an auto-focus device, which is for eliminating an uncomfortable feeling when phase difference AF is switched to optical path length difference AF when an arbitrary area is set as a focusing target area, and a method for controlling operation of the same. A cameraman sets a desired area as the focusing target area. Until a focus lens reaches a first threshold value position, the focus lens is moved on the basis of a phase difference AF evaluation value obtained from a phase difference AF sensor so as to bring the center portion of the imaging area into focus. Until the focus lens reaches a second threshold value position, the focus lens is moved on the basis of a phase difference AF evaluation value which is output from a phase difference imaging element and is obtained from a signal of an area corresponding to the set focusing target area.

  • Patent number: 8873715
Abstract: An industrial X-ray tube formed by accommodating a cathode and anode in a container having an evacuated interior, in which electrons emitted from the cathode are caused to strike the anode and X-rays are emitted from the anode. The cathode is formed from graphite. The graphite is a layered crystal obtained by layering a plurality of carbon hexagonal planes. The graphite is cut based on crystal axes of the carbon hexagonal planes. The resulting cut surface is caused to function as an electron-emitting surface. For example, directions of an a- and b-crystal axis may be set so as to be arbitrary between each of the layers of the carbon hexagonal planes, the graphite may be cut along a surface parallel to the c-axis, and the resulting cut surface may be caused to function as an electron-emitting surface. The graphite may also be cut along a surface orthogonal to the c-axis.

  • Patent number: 8675817
Abstract: An X-ray generator includes a booster circuit formed by sequentially connecting a plurality of boosting steps extending from a low-voltage terminal to a high-voltage terminal of its own. The booster circuit is arranged in a lateral region of the X-ray tube so as to make the low-voltage terminal of its own correspond to the anode of the X-ray tube and the high-voltage terminal of its own correspond to the cathode of the X-ray tube. A lead wire extending from the cathode to the outside of the X-ray tube is connected to the high-voltage terminal of the booster circuit. A molded member containing insulating resin is formed to shield at least a cathode side end part of the X-ray tube, the lead wire outwardly extending from the cathode side end part and a high-voltage terminal side end part of the booster circuit.

  • Patent number: 8229196
Abstract: In a specific macromolecule crystal detecting method according to the present invention, ultraviolet light is irradiated to sample solution, and a fluorescent image emitted from a sample in the sample solution is detected to detect specific macromolecules in the sample solution. Furthermore, by detecting the outline of the sample from the visible light image of the sample contained in the sample solution, the crystal is discriminated from other materials on the basis of the outline. By integrating the detection results of the fluorescent image and the visible light image, the specific macromolecule crystal is detected from the sample solution.

  • Publication number: 20090024769
Abstract: An operating device includes a connecting portion connectable to an external memory device storing operation data, an operation detecting portion that detects a positional change of the enclosure of the connected external memory device as an operation carried out on the external memory device, and an operation control portion that gives a command for executing a given action to an electronic equipment (image processing apparatus, etc.) according to the detection result. The above operation data is the data that presets a command for causing the electronic equipment to execute a specific action in correspondence to an operation on the external memory device. The operation control portion reads operation data out of the connected external memory device, and gives a command for executing a specific action to a main CPU of the electronic equipment based on an operation detected by the operation detecting portion and the read operation data.
