  • Publication number: 20090051819
Abstract: A video display device displays a video distributed via broadcast. The video display device comprises a data extraction section and a frame interpolation processing section. The data extraction section extracts additional data indicating information regarding a program or regarding a video of the program from a broadcast signal. The frame interpolation processing section generates an image of an interpolated frame based on images of respective frames, each of the images is represented by video data extracted from the broadcast signal. Furthermore, the frame interpolation processing section determines a content of a process regarding a motion vector to be used for generating the interpolated frame based on a content of the additional data extracted by the data extraction section.

  • Publication number: 20080084501
Abstract: The present invention provides an image processing device that converts an interlace image signal into a progressive signal so as not to cause degradation of image quality in edge parts of letters or the like, when performing an IP conversion with respect to an image that is mixed with an OSD such as a caption and a telop. The image processing device includes: an OSD mix part that mixes an on-screen display with an input interlace image signal; a motion detecting part that detects a motion by comparing pixel data between different fields; and an interpolation pixel generating part that generates a new pixel between lines of the interlace image signal by interpolating calculation with an interpolation method that depends on an OSD mix ratio of the OSD mix part and a result of the motion detection by the motion detecting part.

  • Patent number: 7338617
Abstract: The invention provides metal-silica polymeric flocculants having high coagulation performance which are used for water treatment, particularly to remove suspended materials and other impurities from irrigation water, waste water or the like. A silica sol having a SiO2 concentration of from 100 to 200 g/L and a viscosity of less than 6 cp is prepared by colliding an inorganic acid aqueous solution with a silicate aqueous solution at each rate of 5 m/sec or more. The silica sol is aged to make an aged silica sol having a viscosity of 6 to 30 cp, and the aged silica sol is mixed with a water-soluble metal salt such as ferric chloride, to prepare the flocculants.

  • Patent number: 6771130
Abstract: A power amplifier has a front and a rear stage. In the rear stage, to a base of a signal-amplifying bipolar transistor is connected one end of a variable impedance element whose impedance changes according to an input power level. An adjusting circuit is connected between the other end of the variable impedance element and a ground. A DC current adjusting element is connected between the other end of the variable impedance element and a supply voltage terminal. The front stage is made to perform class A operation or class AB operation near class A operation, while the rear stage is made to perform class B operation or class AB operation near class B operation. The distortion characteristic of the rear stage is adjusted by the variable impedance element, the adjusting circuit, and the DC current adjusting element so as to offset the distortion characteristic of the front stage.
