  • Patent number: 7200991
Abstract: A filter (10) which traps particulate matter contained in the exhaust gas of a diesel engine (20) for a vehicle is regenerated by fuel injection control. A controller (16) calculates a representative value of the operating condition of the diesel engine (20) during a latest predetermined time period, and determines the traveling condition of the vehicle on the basis of this representative value. When the representative value corresponds to a highway traveling condition, fuel injection control is performed in accordance with a pattern for burning all of the particulate matter trapped in the filter (10). Under any other conditions, fuel injection control is performed in accordance with another pattern. Hence optimum filter regeneration can be performed depending on the traveling condition of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 7169364
Abstract: A particulate filter regenerating device is configured to regenerate a particulate filter that collects particulate from engine exhaust gas. The particulate filter regenerating device is configured to prevent the temperature of the particulate filter from exceeding an allowable temperature during regeneration when the quantity of accumulated particulate is estimated to be lower than it actually is due to variation of the estimate. When the amount of temperature rise per unit time of the particulate filter is larger than a prescribed value during regeneration, it is determined that the temperature of the particulate filter will soon exceed the allowable temperature and the temperature rise amount ?Texh of the exhaust gas is reduced (?Texh1 is the normal temperature rise amount). The larger the temperature rise per unit time is, the more the temperature rise amount of the exhaust gas is reduced.

  • Patent number: 7164774
Abstract: A sound volume set-point value set by the variable resistor 1 is converted into a sound volume set-point value signal by a sound volume set-point value detecting section. A control signal generating section rectifies an input signal and adds it to a sound volume set-point value signal, thereby generating a control signal less fluctuated, and the amplification factor of amplifying section is adjusted by the control signal. The input signal is amplitude limited by this, to thereby prevent an output sound from being distorted. When the input signal is low in level, the amplitude limiting operation of the amplifier is stopped, to thereby retain a dynamic range of the original signal. Through the fluctuation suppression of the control signal, the unnatural feeling given to the listener when the amplitude limiting operation starts or stops is also lessened.

  • Patent number: 7159384
Abstract: A diesel particulate filter (41) which traps particulate matter contained in the exhaust gas of a diesel engine (1) comprises an oxidation catalyst (41A) which exhibits a temperature-raising effect during regeneration of the filter (41). A controller (31) calculates the amount of particulate matter trapped in the filter (41) at the start of regeneration as a first amount, and calculates the amount of particulate matter burned during regeneration of the filter (41) as a second amount (S3, S10, S18). A deterioration factor d of the oxidation catalyst is calculated from the ratio of the second amount and first amount, and a target temperature for the next regeneration of the filter is determined on the basis of this deterioration factor d. Thus deterioration of the oxidation catalyst (41A) is compensated for, and an optimum temperature environment for regenerating the filter (41) is realized.

  • Patent number: 7157859
Abstract: First resistors (R1, R2) for setting a forward current value are connected in series to light-emitting diodes (LED 1, LED 2) respectively to constitute first serial circuits (112, 113), which are connected to an input terminal (111). Second serial circuits (115, 116) are connected in parallel to the first serial circuits (112, 113) respectively. The second serial circuits (115, 116) are constituted by a combination of a Zener diode (ZD1) and a second resistor (R3), and another combination of a Zener diode (ZD2) and a second resistor (R4).
