  • Publication number: 20030109980
Abstract: The present invention can realize a vehicle running control apparatus including ACC function and map information data recording medium to obtain effective information for safety driving capable for running control meeting a driver's feeling. The first running speed is decided on the basis of the distance between the vehicles and the relative speed. The position detecting means detects the position of own vehicle on a map. The map information getting means gets road information, the width of the road, the radius of curvature, and slope on the basis of the map information. The visible distance estimating means estimates the visible distance on the basis of the map information, deciding the second running safety speed with the estimated visible distance. The running control means decides the object running speed of smallest one of the set speed, the first running speed, and the second running speed.

  • Publication number: 20020002505
Abstract: The invention provides a preparing method for delivery request records by which delivery is possible among an e-mail companion even though a sender does not know a receiver's address, wherein, when a web server computer of a delivery consignee accepts a delivery request from a sender or receiver via a communication terminal (10a), the computer sets one request record consisting of an appropriate number of necessary and reference items (12), and automatically outputs a serial number of the parcel as a parcel ID item, and both of the sender and the receiver input data (10b, 16) via their communication terminals by using said serial number as the ID key code to fill up the necessary items, whereby the delivery request record is prepared. Based on this request record, parcel collection and/or delivery are carried out.

  • Patent number: 6163239
Abstract: The present invention provides a compact duty-driven solenoid valve which inhibits occurrence of impact sound upon driving and prevents occurrence of adherence at low temperatures. In this duty-driven solenoid valve, a plunger is arranged in a center hole of a bobbin having a coil wound thereon, and a guide made of a magnetic material is arranged on one end side of the bobbin, opposite to the plunger. A spring is provided so as to impart a force to move the plunger toward the guide, and further, a valve assembly for switching over a channel for a control fluid is arranged opposite to the plunger with the guide in between. A rod for transmitting a moving force of the plunger to the valve assembly is arranged so as to be inserted through the guide and to reach the valve assembly. The positional relationship between the rod and the valve assembly is configured to maintain a prescribed gap between the plunger and the guide during feeding of current to the coil.

  • Patent number: 5895591
Abstract: A ceramic heater for heating a sensor such as an oxygen sensor has a ceramic substrate and a heater pattern formed on the substrate. A heater pattern 22 is tightly interposed between first and second alumina substrates 15 and 21. This heater pattern 22 has a meandering heating section 25 and a pair of leads 26 for connecting both ends of the heating section 25 to two terminals at the base side end. The heating section 25 is divided into a tip side subsection 25a located near the tip side end of the device, and a base side subsection 25b. Specifically, the wire width is made greater in the tip side subsection 25a than in the base side subsection 25b so that the resistance per unit length is lower in the tip side subsection 25a. The thus-designed heater section 25 produces a less amount of heat in the tip side subsection than in the base side subsection, and this distribution of heat generation can reduce the possibility of cracks and breakage of a wire.
