  • Publication number: 20060020472
Abstract: For a voice guidance phrase, multiple voice data items having individually different voice ranges or frequencies are previously stored in a memory. A voice mixing unit chooses to mix three voice data items among the stored voice data items and thereby produces a mixed voice data item. A voice outputting unit converts the mixed voice data item into a voice and then vocalizes a voice guidance phrase via a speaker. A voice measuring unit measures a characteristic of a frequency, a volume, or a pronunciation speed with respect to a response voice responding to the outputted voice guidance phrase. A voice mixing unit produces a mixed voice data item having a characteristic similar to the measured characteristic and outputs it.

  • Patent number: 6122594
Abstract: A map of an entire region is divided into sections of a square of 900", each of which is further divided into blocks of a square of 30", each of which is further divided into units of a square of 1", so that a region on the map can be hierarchically designated. Each section is defined with section codes of three figures; each block is defined with block codes of three figures in accordance with its relative positional relation in the section; and each unit is defined with unit codes of three figures in accordance with its relative positional relation in the block, so that each unit can be completely differentiated with an intrinsic code of nine figures composed of those three kinds of codes. As to the section code composing the intrinsic code corresponding to the predetermined region, moreover, a number of significant digits is reduced by assigning a lower number in the code system, so that the manual operations of inputting the intrinsic code of the predetermined region can be lightened.

  • Patent number: 4606711
Abstract: A fluid pump comprises a casing at the rear of which is secured a fixed plate having a forward open longitudinal groove with a C-shaped transversal cross-section. A movable plate is placed at the front of the fixed plate and is held in a close sliding contact with the fixed plate to seal the groove to form a pumping chamber. The movable plate carries an integral pumping member which is in the form of a split-tube extending into the pumping chamber. The movable plate is driven by an eccentric drive so that the pumping member within the pumping chamber performs as oscillatory movement along a circular trajectory with its inner wall in a sealing contact with the inner wall of the pumping chamber, and with its outer wall in a sealing contact with the outer wall of the pumping chamber, thereby performing the intake and compression strokes.

  • Patent number: 4527964
Abstract: A scroll-type pump suitably used as a compressor in an automobile air-conditioning system. The pump is provided with a stationary scroll member and a movable scroll member, which movable scroll member rotates while maintaining contact with the stationary scroll member. A scroll shape of each of the scroll members is formed by a plurality of alternately arranged arc sections of a small radius of curvature and arc sections of a large radius of curvature smoothly connected to each other. A pump having an overall shape which corresponds to the shape of the space in which the pump is to be arranged in the vehicle is obtained.

  • Patent number: 4402655
Abstract: A vane type pump having a housing formed with an inlet chamber and an outlet chamber and having a cylinder portion, a cylindrical rotor mounted for eccentric rotation in the cylinder portion, and a plurality of vane mounted for concentric rotation in the cylinder portion. The rotor is formed with slots through which the vanes extend into a space defined between the inner peripheral wall of the cylinder portion and the outer peripheral wall of the rotor so as to divide the space to define a working chamber variable in volume for pumping effect. The inlet chamber is associated with the cylinder portion to define a fluid confinement initiating line at which the working chamber begins to be isolated from the inlet chamber when the forward end of one of the vanes passes the line.
