  • Publication number: 20030150348
Abstract: An initiator includes a casing, a reactant disposed in the casing, and electrodes arranged to contact the reactant. The reactant contains an electrically conductive substance in a manner such that once a voltage is applied to the electrodes, an electric current flows through the electrically conductive substance, thereby initiating a reaction of the reactant. The initiator is easily manufactured with low manufacturing cost.

  • Publication number: 20020185849
Abstract: An inflator which can be easily and simply manufactured without disassembly. The inflator includes a bottle connected to a diffuser. The bottle includes projections and key grooves formed on its periphery. The projections extend in the peripheral direction and the grooves extend in the axial direction. The diffuser includes guide groves on its inner periphery for guiding the projections of the bottle when the diffuser and the orifice member are coupled with each other. The diffuser also includes grooves which mate with the projections either component rotates, and key grooves which align with the key grooves of the bottle. Keys are inserted into the key grooves to prevent the bottle and the diffuser from rotating.

  • Patent number: 5994144
Abstract: When adsorbed gas is analyzed after metal, ceramics or metallic salt has been left in an environmental atmosphere for a predetermined period of time, an average concentration of specific gas over a long period of time can be accurately measured with an inexpensive small apparatus. Especially, porous metal or ceramics (transition metal oxide) are excellent in selective adsorption properties for NO.sub.x, porous ceramics (rare earth element oxide) are excellent in selective adsorption properties for CO.sub.2, and a specific chloride such as copper chloride and silver chloride is excellent in selective adsorption properties for SO.sub.2. A test kit accommodating such test pieces in a case, a protective case for the test kit to put the test kit into practical use, an umbrella and a forced air blowing unit are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5750406
Abstract: There is provided a test piece by which NO.sub.x, present in an environment may be visually observed apart from the influence of other gases, and with which qualitative and quantitative analysis may be performed. The test piece has a layered structure prepared by vacuum deposition a metal thin-film (Ag, Pt, Au, etc.) on a metal substrate (Cu, Zn, etc.). The rough amounts of NO.sub.x, SO.sub.x and NH.sub.3 in the environment are determined on the basis of the corrosion products (nitrates, etc.) produced when NO.sub.x, SO.sub.x and NH.sub.3 are collected after the test piece has been exposed to the environment for a prescribed period of time.

  • Patent number: 5204078
Abstract: The present invention is a method for producing swellable or nonswellable fluorine mica at a relatively lower temperature by heating a powdery mixture comprising 10 to 35% by weight of an alkali silicofluoride as the main component optionally together with an alkali fluoride and the balance of talc. This fluorine mica is used for pigments, etc.

  • Patent number: 4812617
Abstract: A microwave oven comprises a screen plate covering a high voltage transformer positioned on the bottom of an outer housing. An inlet window is formed in the bottom between the screen plate and the high voltage transformer. An air duct is produced in a gap between the screen plate and the high voltage transformer. The screen plate carries at least one electric component. A printed circuit board supporting a plurality of circuit elements such as a semiconductor chip, etc., is separated from the high voltage transformer by the screen plate. In addition to the high voltage transformer, the screen plate containing the electrical component disposed thereon is cooled by air flowing through the air duct, the air being circulated with the help of a cooling blower. The air also serves to cool a magnetron operated to control the microwave oven.

  • Patent number: 4530615
Abstract: Device for locking a panel plate to a housing and releasing it therefrom is comprised a saddle body including a saddle seat and a pair of parallel leg plates extending therefrom. Each of the leg plates has an aperture bored at a portion remote from the seat, and a pin which is made integral with one leg plate by means of a plurality of thin film strips extends outwardly from the periphery of the aperture in that plate in a direction normal thereto. After positioning the panel plate between the leg plates and bringing the apertures in the leg plates into alignment with the aperture bored in the corner of front side of the panel plate, the pin is driven into the apertures, whereupon the device is pivotally attached to the panel plate.
