  • Publication number: 20150017501
Abstract: A battery includes a bottomed case of box shape housing a power-generating element, a lid component for the case, a terminal electrode provided outside the case and extending in the direction of the thickness of the lid component, a take-out electrode passing through the lid component, provided for taking out an electric power of the power-generating element to the outside of the case, and disposed at a position different from that of the terminal electrode within a plane including the lid component, and a connecting member connecting the terminal electrode and the take-out electrode and including a thinner portion allowing bending of the connecting member in response to an external force applied to the terminal electrode in the direction of the thickness of the lid component.

  • Publication number: 20140322565
Abstract: A hermetically sealed battery is provided with a sealing member for air-tightly sealing the through-hole of a battery case from the outside. The sealing member has: a covering member secured to the battery case from the outside; an insertion portion inserted into the through-hole; an annular pressure contact portion in air-tight pressure contact with the hole surrounding portion of the battery case; and a connecting portion disposed between the insertion portion and the annular pressure contact portion so as to be integral with the insertion portion and the annular pressure contact portion. The connecting portion is provided with an annular groove surrounding the insertion portion.

  • Publication number: 20140295259
Abstract: A sealed battery includes a filling hole, and a gasket and a blind rivet that seal the filling hole. A tapered surface that is inclined toward an inside of a battery case is formed around the filling hole of the battery case. The filling hole is sealed by the gasket and the blind rivet by the blind rivet plastic deforming.

  • Patent number: 8748035
Abstract: An object is to provide a battery with good durability, and a vehicle and a battery-mounting device each having such a battery mounted therein. A battery includes a positive electrode terminal member made of aluminum, a negative electrode terminal member made of copper, a positive electrode resin member made of an insulating resin, covering a part of the terminal member in tight contact therewith, and a negative resin member made of an insulating resin, covering a part of the terminal member in tight contact therewith. A positive electrode resin adhesion surface and a negative electrode resin adhesion surface each have been subjected to a surface treatment. A negative electrode sealing length of a shortest path of negative seal paths is longer than a positive electrode sealing length of a shortest path of positive electrode seal paths.
