  • Publication number: 20200233333
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a photosensitive drum, a developing section, a voltage applicator, a detector, a calculating section, and an evaluating section. The detector detects values of first and second currents. The first current flows between the photosensitive drum and the developing section during formation of an electrostatic latent image. The second current flows between the photosensitive drum and the developing section when the electrostatic latent image is not being formed. The calculating section calculates a toner charge-to-mass ratio. The evaluating section evaluates reliability of a calculation result of the toner charge-to-mass ratio by comparing the second current value to a reference value. The reference value is of a reference current flowing between the photosensitive drum and the developing section when the electrostatic latent image is not being formed, and indicates a current value detected after adjustment to at least one of the photosensitive drum and the developing section.

  • Publication number: 20200218098
Abstract: An iterative Fourier transform unit of a modulation pattern calculation apparatus performs a Fourier transform on a waveform function including an intensity spectrum function and a phase spectrum function, performs a replacement of a temporal intensity waveform function based on a desired waveform after the Fourier transform, and then performs an inverse Fourier transform. The iterative Fourier transform unit performs the replacement using a result of multiplying a function representing the desired waveform by a coefficient. The coefficient has a value with which a difference between the function after the multiplication of the coefficient and the temporal intensity waveform function after the Fourier transform is smaller than a difference before the multiplication, and a ratio of the difference is smaller when an intensity is higher at each time of the function before the multiplication.

  • Publication number: 20200130244
Abstract: A glass molded product includes: a plate-like glass having a convex portion provided on an outer peripheral end face; and a frame made of resin which covers the convex portion and is provided by integral molding and which is flush with front and back surfaces of the plate-like glass; and a colored layer provided on the convex portion. Looking at the frame through the plate-like glass from a front side of the plate-like glass, the colored layer of the convex portion is observed as a background of the diffuse reflection which occurs at the boundary between the convex portion of the plate-like glass and the frame. Therefore, the color of the colored layer makes the diffuse reflection less noticeable and improves an appearance.

  • Patent number: 10622254
Abstract: An object is irradiated with a laser light modulated by a reflection type spatial light modulator such that aberration of the laser light converged inside the object becomes a predetermined aberration or less. Therefore, aberration of the laser light generated at a position on which a converging point of the laser light is located is made as small as possible, to enhance the energy density of the laser light at that position, which makes it possible to form a modified region with a high function as a starting point for cutting. In addition, because the reflection type spatial light modulator is used, it is possible to improve the utilization efficiency of the laser light as compared with a transmissive type spatial light modulator.

  • Publication number: 20200076398
Abstract: Laser-marked packaged surface acoustic wave devices are provided. The laser-marked packaged surface acoustic wave device may include a package structure encapsulating a surface acoustic wave device on a first side of a piezoelectric substrate. The opposite side of the piezoelectric substrate can be directly marked using a laser. The laser may be a deep ultraviolet laser. By directly marking the piezoelectric substrate itself, the use of a separate marking film can be avoided, making the packaged surface acoustic wave device thinner. When the laser has a wavelength readily absorbed by the piezoelectric substrate, a relatively shallow marking may be made in the piezoelectric substrate. The markings can extend less than 1 micrometer into the piezoelectric substrate, so as not to affect the structural integrity of the piezoelectric substrate or the operation of the packaged surface acoustic wave device.
