  • Publication number: 20070288748
Abstract: The present invention aims to effectively prevent spoofing in authentication and maintain convenience of the user. In a face authentication unit of the portable telephone, the face image checking part checks the face image of the person to be authenticated, which is acquired by a face image acquiring part through a photographing unit, with face feature information contained in a face feature DB of the storage unit and calculates the matching degree. A threshold value determining section determines the threshold value by searching the evaluation DB based on the position information of the own device acquired by the position information acquiring section through the GPS receiver. An authenticating section compares the matching degree calculated by the face image checking section and the threshold value determined by the threshold value determining section, and determines success and failure of the face authentication.

  • Publication number: 20070287423
Abstract: Equipment to prevent spoofing in an authentication technique that uses a portable terminal and the like, includes an authentication unit for performing personal authentication of the user, a communication unit for communicating with a register, and an authentication control unit for permitting the authentication unit to execute the personal authentication of the user when receiving authentication start instructing information from the register connected to the communication unit. Spoofing is difficult to carry out because the authentication start instructing information must be received from the register in order to perform the required personal authentication prior to the post-authentication communication.

  • Patent number: 7272260
Abstract: A image recognition device using pattern elements is disclosed. The device comprises an image recognition device, a recording medium, and an image processing device which is be capable of executing recognition processing accurately and evaluating an input image even when the input image data is a different size because the input image has been magnified or reduced. To achieve the objectives, the image recognition device of this invention has a pattern element recognizing means to recognize the pattern elements obtained by dividing the input image into a plurality of regions which are compared with corresponding target pattern elements, and a pattern detection means to detect the relative position of the pattern elements, which determines whether the pattern elements detected by the pattern element recognizing means are arranged properly with respect to each other.

  • Publication number: 20070124753
Abstract: A receiving unit 101 repeatedly receives a transport stream, and a specifying unit 102 specifies a purchase state. A restoring unit 103 generates a first audio-digital (AV) signal and interactive data, and an AV reproducing unit 105 generates a second AV signal. A combining unit 106 generates a data-AV combined signal by combining the generated second AV signal and a data signal generated from the interactive data. A data presentation restricting unit 115 outputs the interactive data and a purchase state signal. A control unit 107 receives an operation signal from an inputting unit 110 and outputs it to a data operation restricting unit 116. A data analyzing unit 104 analyzes a presentation element contained in the interactive data and generates video data, which is the data signal. A data judging unit 117 judges whether a currently-presented presentation element is included in the same group as a presentation element that is a link destination of the presented presentation element.

  • Patent number: 7218750
Abstract: The object of this invention is to provide an image processing device and image input device which creates strong features, or enhanced pattern which could be recognized when the image was read and which would prove difficult to eliminate through subsequent image processing. When the image is generated at the later step, these features would be easily recognized by the processing according to this invention because the image is equipped with the enhanced pattern which is easy to detect. In order to achieve this object, the image processing device according to this invention is equipped with a data synthesizing unit to synthesize the clear target pattern on the candidate target pattern which is not fully clear when the recognition unit has detected a pattern similar to the target pattern.

  • Patent number: 7024030
Abstract: Fluctuation information produced by a fluctuation producing portion (36) is superimposed on given image data by a fluctuation superimposing portion (35). The superimposed image data where the fluctuation information is superimposed is subjected to an image recognition process by an image recognition portion (37). The results of the image recognition are sent to a printer body through a recognition result outputting portion (39). Even if the given image data is the same, fluctuation is superimposed, and therefore the image data on an object to be recognized is altered. As a result, the possibility of a recognition error is suppressed as much as possible.

  • Patent number: 7019418
Abstract: A first conductive transistor having a high threshold value and a second conductive transistor having a low threshold value are connected in series between a first actual power supply line supplying a power supply voltage and a virtual power supply line connected to a power supply pin of a circuit block constituted of transistors having a low threshold value. The first and second conductive transistors have polarities which are opposite to each other. A power control circuit turns on the first and second conductive transistors while the circuit block is in operation and turning off the first and second conductive transistors while the circuit block is not in operation. Therefore, subthreshold currents of the first and second conductive transistors can be suppressed. As a result of this, it is possible to reduce power consumption of the semiconductor integrated circuit during its standby period.

  • Patent number: 7016071
Abstract: A printer (30) prints image data received from a personal computer (20). The printer stores a recognition program, which is installed for the printer driver of the personal computer. The personal computer executes the received recognition program to carry out recognition. Upon detecting a specific image, the personal computer instructs the printer to discontinue the printing operation. An image processing system is thus provided which prohibits the printer from producing printout if the personal computer connected with the printer detects a prohibited image.

  • Publication number: 20050265863
Abstract: Relating to oil feed to a piston portion in a dual support bearing of a hermetic compressor, and a structure for improving efficiency and reliability and accomplishing reduction of noise is disclosed. In this structure, since an auxiliary bearing 119 is provided with an oil feed passage 129 for conducting lubricating oil 108 discharged from an upper end of an oil feed mechanism 114, to a sliding surface of a piston 120, the lubricating oil 108 is fed to the piston 120 and a piston pin 122 from the oil feed passage 129 to make the sealing performance excellent, so that the amount of leakage of refrigerant gas from a compression chamber 117 is reduced to improve the freezing capability or efficiency. Further, lubrication of sliding portions of the piston 120 and the piston pin 122 becomes excellent so that noise caused by sliding is reduced and the reliability is improved.
