  • Patent number: 6940964
Abstract: A push-button signal receiving circuit and a push-button signal detection method are provided which can enhance frequency detection accuracy and yet can reduce erroneous determination as to the valid length of PB signal and thus erroneous operation. Valid signal determining portion determines the validity of a received PB signal in accordance with the results of determination as to the coincidence of continuance times of identification signals extracted by first and second frequency detecting portion for performing frequency detection over a small number of periods, and the coincidence of the frequencies detected by the first and second frequency detecting portion with those detected by third and fourth frequency detecting portion over a large number of periods.

  • Publication number: 20050172646
Abstract: A refrigerant compressor includes a compressor section, driver, a first contact section and a second contact section. The compressor section is accommodated in a closed container for compressing refrigerant gas. The driver drives the compressor section. The first and second contact sections are brought into contact with each other or they slide with each other by driving the compressor section. On the surface of each one of the contact sections, at least one of plural recesses uniformly placed or a mixed layer, to which molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) is bound, is formed. The foregoing structure allows increasing the abrasion resistance of the first and second contact sections.

  • Publication number: 20050151579
Abstract: A first conductive transistor having a high threshold value and a second conductive transistor having a low threshold value are connected in series between a first actual power supply line supplying a power supply voltage and a virtual power supply line connected to a power supply pin of a circuit block constituted of transistors having a low threshold value. The first and second conductive transistors have polarities which are opposite to each other. A power control circuit turns on the first and second conductive transistors while the circuit block is in operation and turning off the first and second conductive transistors while the circuit block is not in operation. Therefore, subthreshold currents of the first and second conductive transistors can be suppressed. As a result of this, it is possible to reduce power consumption of the semiconductor integrated circuit during its standby period.

  • Publication number: 20050129331
Abstract: An original pupil color of a subject person in an image in which an abnormality such as a red-eye or gold-eye occurs is estimated. Further, whether an image correction is required or not and to produce an image having a natural pupil color in the image correction by estimating the original pupil color from the image is judged. A pupil color estimating device has a skin color of a subject person specified from an inputted image, regardless of whether an abnormality such as a red-eye or gold-eye occurs. This skin color is substituted in an approximate equation based upon a statistical result carried out in advance, and thereby a normal color component of a pupil is estimated from the skin color of the subject person.

  • Patent number: 6823324
Abstract: A template storage unit stores a plurality of templates. A material data receiving unit receives material data. A combining rule storage unit stores a plurality of combining rules that each indicate a combining condition as a combination of attribute information, such as a type of material data and a version number, and a name of a template to be combined with when the combining condition is met. A combining instruction unit judges whether a combining condition of any of the combining rules is met or not and instructs a combining unit to combine the material data with the template when the combining condition is met. The combining unit combines the material data or a combination of the material data with the specified template according to the combining rule.

  • Publication number: 20040191094
Abstract: A compressor includes a motor unit formed of a stator and a rotor, a compressor mechanism driven by the motor unit, and an enclosed container accommodating the foregoing elements. The compressor mechanism includes a cylinder block equipped with a compressing chamber and a piston. A shaft directly coupled to the rotor that drives the piston is supported by a double-sided bearing system, namely, a main bearing and a sub bearing. This structure allows preventing the shaft from slanting, and reducing a loss and a noise caused by sliding. As a result, a low profile, highly reliable and efficient compressor is obtainable.

  • Publication number: 20040051897
Abstract: An authentic scanner driver 11 provided with a function of preventing unauthorized use is installed in a personal computer 10. Data is sent and received with a color scanner 20 via the driver. The color scanner 20 is provided with a driver recognition portion 22 for making a decision as to whether the connection target is an authentic driver. Only where the driver is judged to be an authentic driver, normal image processing (acceptance and transfer of data) is performed. Where the driver is not an authentic driver, the normal image processing is stopped. Thus, the unauthorized use preventing function incorporated in the driver is operated with certainty. Monitoring is done to detect whether fraudulent processing such as forgery is performed. Consequently, unauthorized use can be prevented.

  • Patent number: 6691313
Abstract: A terminal apparatus for interactively switching pieces of presentation data in a system which repeatedly broadcasts pieces of presentation data and corresponding pieces of navigation data including a receiver for receiving the presentation data, a reproduction apparatus, and a cache storage for storing pre-received pieces of presentation data and navigation data. Navigation data is analyzed to detect pieces of link-target presentation data which are presented to an operator. When the operator selects one of the link-target presentation data stored in the cache storage, the reproduction apparatus reproduces the presentation data.

  • Patent number: 6584069
Abstract: A packet filtering apparatus selectively outputs packets among a plurality of inputted packets. A plurality of conditions are stored, with each condition being specified by a partial data position that indicates a position of a data part of a packet, comparison data to which the data part is to be compared, and a comparison criterion for comparing the data part and comparison data. Different conditions contain different comparison criteria. When filtering packets, a condition in one of the stored conditions is selected, and a data part of an inputted packet is compared with the comparison data of the selected condition according to the comparison criterion in the selected condition. Packets are selectively outputted depending on the result of the comparison.

  • Patent number: 6538759
Abstract: An non-reproducible image formation preventing apparatus has a recognition section, a storage section and a comparison/determination section. The recognition section performs recognition processing for received image data, determines whether or not the image data is an non-reproducible image, and outputs the determination result to an image formation section. The storage section stores non-reproducible image data recognized as an non-reproducible image by the recognition section. The comparison/determination section compares the non-reproducible image data stored in the storage section with an image based on input image data given through an image process section and finding a match degree therebetween. If either of the comparison/determination section and the recognition section determines that the image is an non-reproducible image, a detection signal is sent to the image formation section for stopping normal print.
