  • Patent number: 7687973
Abstract: In a friction drive actuator 1 according to the invention, a rotor 2 and a stator 4 are held in contact at a plurality of positions by a plurality of vibrators 3, and at least one of the vibrators 3 vibrates to rotate the rotor 2 relative to the stator 4. Accordingly, the rotor 2 is supported without using a bearing and, hence, the rotor 2 can be more easily elastically deformed as compared with the case where the rotor 2 and the stator 4 are held in contact over the entire circumference. Therefore, a frictional force between the stator 4 and the rotor can be stabilized.

  • Patent number: 7663811
Abstract: A driving mechanism, a driving device, and a lens driving device includes a lever member. The lever member includes an arm portion for surrounding a part of a driven member in a side direction. The arm portion has a plurality of displacement output portions to be engaged with the driven member. The lever member is constructed in such a manner that a displacement amount of the displacement output portions in a predetermined first axis direction is set larger than a displacement amount of a displacement input portion to be generated by input of a moving force to be applied by a shape memory alloy actuator. The driving mechanism, the driving device, and the lens driving device enable to obtain a large displacement amount with a reduced size and a reduced weight, and stably move the driven member.

  • Publication number: 20100004988
Abstract: An information processing apparatus is provided and operates as a managing server that distributes incentive using transfer device information with respect to content. A communication unit receives inter-device transfer information with respect to output content from an information providing device, the information being in the form of device identifiers for at least the information providing device and one or more user devices that executed content transfers. A controller then executes processing to designate the incentive recipients as being the device managers associated with the acquired device identifiers. In so doing, incentive can be distributed to the managers or users of user devices that relay content between an information providing device and a product purchaser.

  • Publication number: 20090177556
Abstract: A system effectively performs content information acquisition processing and content purchase processing in which it is necessary to access different servers. If a user views information provided by an information providing server, for example, television program table information, and acquires content related to information selected from among pieces of information included in the television program table information, the user can transmit a content acquisition request including content specification information to a content providing server simply by dragging and dropping the selected information displayed on a display screen onto a toolbar included in a display unit or onto another server information display area. As a result, the user can effectively perform the selection and acquisition of content without switching between connections to various servers.

  • Publication number: 20090015098
Abstract: Provided are ultrasonic actuators and magnetic recording apparatuses that are stably equipped with superior driving performance without making the apparatus complex or raising cost. By providing an approximately equilateral triangular shaped vibrating member provided with piezoelectric deformation members that expand and contract upon the application of a driving signal, and a moving member that is in pressure contact with the three vertices of the vibrating member to cause relative movement with respect to the vibrating member. The moving member is caused to move relative to the vibrating member due to elliptical vibrations in the same rotational direction in basically the three vertices of the vibrating member due to a deformation vibration of the piezoelectric deformation parts.

  • Patent number: 7472425
Abstract: A service provider makes requests to an information processing center for processing for an IC card in card command units. The information processing center issues encrypted card commands that can be interpreted by the IC card itself based on requests received from the service provider and sends these to the IC card via the computer network, client, and card reader/writer device. This enables an IC card connected to a client to be accessed using secure communication.
