  • Publication number: 20150030129
Abstract: A detection panel has a plurality of pixels for accumulating electric charge by receiving X-rays, and a plurality of detection pixels for detecting an X-ray dose in an imaging surface. The detection pixels are disposed periodically with leaving space. A grid, which has X-ray absorbing portions and X-ray transmitting portions alternately and periodically arranged in a first direction, is disposed in a position opposed to the imaging surface. Since an arrangement period of the detection pixels in the first direction is different from an arrangement period of the X-ray absorbing portions, an output value of each detection pixel is distributed and hence the average of the output values has a reduced variation range.

  • Patent number: 8923482
Abstract: An AEC section of an electronic cassette includes a measurement area setting circuit for setting a measurement area in an imaging surface. The measurement area setting circuit is switchable between a specified area mode and an automatic area setting mode. In the specified area mode, a first measurement area is set up in a position predetermined in accordance with a body part to be imaged. In the automatic area setting mode, a second measurement area is set up based on the distribution of an X-ray dose measured by measuring pixels. X-ray emission time is shortened in the specified area mode, because the setting of the first measurement area is quickly performed. The automatic area setting mode eliminates the need for troublesome positioning between a patient and an FPD.

  • Publication number: 20140211922
Abstract: Upon input of a synchronization signal, which indicates a start of an X-ray emission, from a source control unit for controlling an X-ray source, an electronic cassette makes an FPD start an accumulation operation and measurement of an X-ray dose. The electronic cassette and a console command their communicators to stop communication of any signal other than a stop signal, which stops the X-ray emission from the X-ray source, during the accumulation operation of the FPD. As soon as the X-ray dose has reached a predetermined threshold value, the electronic cassette transmits the stop signal to the source control unit through the console. A delay in transmission of the stop signal due to communication congestion or signal collision does not occur, because the electronic cassette and the console stop the communication of the signal other than the stop signal.

  • Publication number: 20140205066
Abstract: A measurement area selection circuit has an irradiation field determination unit, an object area determination unit, and a measurement area determination unit. The irradiation field determination unit determines an irradiation field of an imaging surface of an FPD. The object area determination unit determines an object area from a comparison result between a first expected received dose of a directly exposed area and dose detection signals of detection pixels situated in the irradiation field. The measurement area determination unit determines a measurement area, which corresponds to a region of interest, from a comparison result between a second expected received dose of the measurement area and the dose detection signals of the detection pixels situated in the irradiation area and the object area. The dose detection signals of the detection pixels situated in the measurement area are used for AEC.

  • Publication number: 20140177798
Abstract: A communication section having a relatively high communication speed is used for communicating a detection signal or an emission stop signal between a source control device and an electronic cassette. The detection signal is outputted from a detection pixel of the electronic cassette. The emission stop signal depends on a comparison result between an integrated value of the detection signal and an emission stop threshold value. On the other hand, a wireless communication section having a lower communication speed than that of the detection signal and the emission stop signal is used for communicating image data and the like between the electronic cassette and a console.

  • Publication number: 20140056408
Abstract: An X-ray imaging system or radiographic imaging system includes a radiation generating apparatus and a radiographic imaging apparatus. An ionization chamber device is external to the radiographic imaging apparatus, for detecting a dose of the radiation transmitted through an object. Dose sensors are incorporated in the radiographic imaging apparatus, for detecting a dose of the radiation transmitted through the object. An exposure control unit is disposed with the radiation generating apparatus, for shutting off application of the radiation from the radiation generating apparatus according to a detection signal from the ionization chamber device or dose sensors. The ionization chamber device is communicably coupled with the radiation generating apparatus. An operating state of the ionization chamber device and dose sensors is acquired by monitoring, so failure of simultaneous inputting of their detection signals to the exposure control unit is prevented.

  • Publication number: 20130293464
Abstract: When displaying a stereo image of radiographic images, troublesome work for indicating an abnormal shadow with a three-dimensional cursor is reduced. An abnormal shadow detection unit 8c detects abnormal shadows from radiographic images for left and right eyes for displaying a stereo image. When a plurality of abnormal shadows are detected, an abnormal shadow specification unit 8d specifies abnormal shadows corresponding to each other in two radiographic images. A display control unit 8e gives a three-dimensional cursor to a predetermined abnormal shadow of the plurality of abnormal shadows, and displays a stereo image using the radiographic images for left and right eyes.

  • Publication number: 20130259196
Abstract: An X-ray imaging system has two types of electronic cassettes and one type of IP cassette. Upon entering a body portion to be imaged, an input and output controller retrieves from an imaging condition table of the IP cassette an imaging condition corresponding to the body portion as a reference imaging condition. An imaging condition calculator multiplies reference exposure time of the reference imaging condition by a sensitivity coefficient of each electronic cassette, to calculate an imaging condition to be applied in using each electronic cassette. An input and output controller displays the imaging conditions of the electronic cassettes and the IP cassette and choice buttons for choosing one of the electronic cassettes and the IP cassette in a list form on a monitor.

  • Publication number: 20130083898
Abstract: A cassette holder of an imaging stand is provided with first and second catch members for catching and holding an electronic cassette from above and below. The first catch member has a multi connector connected to a multi terminal of the electronic cassette. The multi connector is offset with respect to a center line of an imaging surface of the cassette holder. The multi terminal is offset with respect to a center line of an irradiation surface of the electronic cassette in the same direction by the same amount as those of the multi connector. In a state where said electronic cassette mounted on a tray is loaded into the cassette holder, the center line of the irradiation surface coincides with the center line of the imaging surface.

  • Publication number: 20130058453
Abstract: A source controller unit for controlling an x-ray source is provided with a detection signal interface for receiving detection signals from detective pixels of an electronic cassette or an integrated value of the detection signals only, or an interface for receiving a radiation stopping signal only. The source controller unit receives other radiation signals than the radiation stopping signal, such as a radiation admitting signal, through a radiation signal interface. The source controller unit uses the detection signals, the integrated value thereof, or the radiation stopping signal as exposure control signals for stopping radiation from the x-ray source. Since the exposure control signals are received on the specific interface therefor, the source controller unit does not need signal sorting operation nor receive different kinds of signals at the same time, improving the speed of radiation stopping procedure.

  • Publication number: 20120082298
Abstract: A problem at the time of stereoscopic viewing of auxiliary lines for making a three-dimensional effect easy to figure out when displaying a stereoscopic image using a radiological image is solved. Auxiliary lines are added to two radiological images for displaying a stereoscopic image. The auxiliary lines are formed by a plurality of grids arrayed so as to be viewed in the depth direction. Lines which form the grids are disposed at positions, which are distant from positions vertically facing a focal point at the time of radiographing, on the radiological images. In addition, the lines which form the grids may be disposed at positions distant from a position, which bisects positions vertically facing a plurality of focal points at the time of radiographing when acquiring the radiological images, on each of the radiological images.
