  • Patent number: 7758245
Abstract: A rolling guide unit has a separator to adjust an interval between any two adjacent rolling elements. The separator is made to have flexibility or elasticity enough to afford any desired elastic deformation, even with keeping sufficient mechanical stiffness or rigidity to positively admit the interaction among the rolling elements inclusive of a circular shell. The separator is comprised of axially opposite end sides depressed inward to fit over the adjacent rolling elements, a circular shell to define an outside contour of the separator, and fingers lying in the depressions in a way extending from the shell towards centers of the depressions so as to make elastic contact with the rolling elements. Each finger has a surface facing the associated rolling element, the surface being made into any one of a depressed spherical surface, a depressed conical surface and a depressed pyramid surface.

  • Patent number: 7629565
Abstract: An imaging apparatus for capturing a synthesized image of a visible-spectrum image and an infrared-spectrum image implements a proper synthesis balance without amplification of the signal of the infrared-spectrum image obtained by a solid-state image sensor or attenuating the visible light incident on the image sensor. A visible light source (20) and an excitation light source (22) are provided separately. The visible-spectrum image and the infrared-spectrum image, which is based on infrared fluorescent light emitted from a fluorescent substance in response to excitation light, are captured separately by a single image sensor (12) using staggered exposure periods. A signal-processing circuit (16) synthesizes the two images. The synthesis balance is adjusted by the exposure time or the respective illumination intensities of the two light sources.

  • Patent number: 7538309
Abstract: An image pickup apparatus capable of capturing a composite image of a visible-light image and an infrared image of a subject is provided, whereby the configuration is simplified and made more convenient. A visible-light source (20) and an excitation-light source (22) for exciting a phosphorescent substance are provided as a light source (6) for a subject that includes an infrared-fluorescent substance. The light from the subject is passed through an optical filter (10) and directed into a CCD image sensor (12). The optical filter (10) cuts excitation light and transmits fluorescent light. The transmittance of visible light by the optical filter (10) is set lower than the transmittance of fluorescent light so that the weak infrared image from the fluorescent light is clearly displayed over the visible-light image.

  • Patent number: 7456899
Abstract: In exposure control of an imaging apparatus, if a vertical scanning period is enlarged to increase an exposure time when the exposure time reaches an upper limit value, there occurs a problem in that a frame rate is reduced. Accordingly, when a subject is dark, an auto exposure control circuit sets the vertical scanning period V to a standard value Vst, increases the exposure time E to the upper limit value Emax (P60) and then increases a gain ? of an AGC circuit (P62). If the image is still dark even when the gain ? reaches the upper limit value ? max, the auto exposure control circuit switches the vertical scanning period V to an enlarged value Vex and thus more increases the exposure time E (P64).

  • Patent number: 7405596
Abstract: A driver circuit is improved in drive capability corresponding to a resolution increase for a CCD sensor while suppressing chip size of a driver circuit. A preceding-stage circuit, operating on VDD2 (>VDD) and VLOW2 (<VLOW), is provided in a stage preceding an output-stage circuit operating on VDD and VLOW. The output-stage has a transistor QPd that turns on when supplied with a gate voltage VLOW2 from the preceding-stage circuit, thus outputting, onto an output terminal Vout, a voltage VDD and a current according to a voltage Vgs (=VDD?VLOW2). In addition, a transistor QNd turns on when supplied with a gate voltage VDD2 from the preceding-stage circuit, thus outputting, onto an output terminal Vout, a voltage VLOW and a current according to a voltage Vgs (=VDD2?VLOW). Because these Vgs are greater than VDD?VLOW, the output-stage circuit can be improved in drive capability and transistor size be correspondingly suppressed.

  • Publication number: 20080111894
Abstract: Infrared light emitted by a fluorescent material is weak. When an infrared image obtained by this fluorescent material is superposed and displayed on a visible-light image, the infrared image is made clear. A signal <IR> of an IR pixel having selective sensitivity to infrared light is subtracted from RGB pixel signals <R>, <B>, and <G> of a solid-state image sensor by adders (20), and signals R0, G0, and B0 that correspond to the R, G, and B components of incident light within <R>, <G>, and <B> are separated and extracted. <IR> is multiplied by each of the gains ?R, ?G, and ?B to enhance the IR component by multipliers (22), and each is synthesized with R0, G0, and B0 by adders (24). ?R, ?G, and ?B are set so that the infrared image displayed on the visible-light image by the synthesized IR component is enhanced and displayed in a hue that can be distinguished from the color white or another visible-light image.

  • Publication number: 20080100698
Abstract: The present invention relates to a compact imaging apparatus. A memory in which one-line data is temporarily stored is provided between an analog processing system and a digital processing system. The analog processing system performs a series of processing from obtaining a pixel signal with an image pickup element to conversion of the pixel signal into digital data, and the digital processing system performs signal processing of the digital data into predetermined imaging data. A controller exclusively controls a one-line analog system operation performed by the analog processing system and a one-line digital system operation performed by the digital processing system. The controller operates the analog processing system with a maximum-speed clock which is possessed by the analog processing system, and the controller operates the digital processing system with a clock corresponding to a frequency determined by a bandwidth of a transmission system which transmits the imaging data.
