    Abstract: A photographic paper processor includes plural serially arranged liquid baths, for sequentially processing a first photographic paper sheet of one type. The plural liquid baths are constituted by bath groups G1 and G2. The bath group G1 includes a color developing bath. The bath group G2 is positioned downstream from the bath group G1, and includes rinsing baths. First and second motors are operable individually, and rotate to transport the first paper sheet through respectively the bath groups G1 and G2 at a speed V1. A controller sets the bath group G1 at a speed V2 according to information of a second photographic paper sheet of a different type for processing next to the first paper sheet. Subsequently, the bath group G2 is set at the speed V2, to transport the second paper sheet through the plural liquid baths at the speed V2.

    Abstract: A method and a device are provided for automating receipt of orders for additional printing of a photographic print, including order information relating to desired image processing. In a print order receiving machine, when a photographic print is inserted, an image of the photographic print is read and displayed on a monitor (steps 150, 152). When order conditions are inputted, an image which is processed on the basis of the order conditions is displayed on the monitor (steps 154 through 158). Further, when input of the order conditions is completed, the order conditions and order information based on the order conditions are set. The set order information is printed onto a photographic print as an invisible two-dimensional bar code. Copying processing of the photographic print is carried out on the basis of the order information which is read from the photographic print.

    Abstract: An image management system for managing image data obtained by the visitors to a theme park or similar facilities with their own imaging devices in the same manner as the image data obtained by the cameras installed in the facility. At the same time, the user ID is obtained from the wireless tag carried by the subject user, which is related to the first image data and stored in the image storage server with the first image data. A second image data obtained by the subject user with a digital camera are also stored in the image storage server with the user ID being related to the second image data. The first and second image data are sorted and stored by each of the user IDs.

    Abstract: The present invention has the objective of carrying out correction of undesirable color tone in a pupil region automatically. Each time a correction parameter is determined by an operator carrying out red eye correction processing, a rate of occurrence of red eye regions in respect of each type of camera used for photographing an image, and the correction parameter are stored, as red-eye correction historical information. After the accuracy of the red-eye correction historical information has reached a fixed level or more, the rate of occurrence of red eye regions is determined based on the type of the camera. Searching for a red eye region in an image in which it is determined that a probability of a red eye region occurring is high, and determination of a correction parameter for the red eye region are automatically carried out by a computer.

    Abstract: A replenishing liquid is filled in a replenishing liquid cartridge which is installed in a cartridge installation section of an image forming device. A seal, at which predetermined information including a cartridge ID for identifying that cartridge is encrypted and is printed as a two-dimensional bar code, is affixed to the replenishing liquid cartridge. When a new replenishing liquid cartridge is to be installed in the image forming device, the two-dimensional bar code printed on the seal is read, and, after being decrypted, the cartridge ID is extracted therefrom. Cartridge IDs of all replenishing liquid cartridges which have been installed in the image forming device in the past are stored in a table. By judging whether or not the extracted cartridge ID is not registered in the table, it is judged whether or not the replenishing liquid cartridge to be newly installed is a legitimate product.

    Abstract: Image data obtained by an imaging apparatus such as a digital camera are sent at an advantageous data rate of a wireless LAN communication network. Image data sets obtained by a digital camera and selected for printing are sent to wireless LAN communication equipment via a wireless LAN communication network. The selected image data sets are temporarily stored in a memory of the wireless LAN communication equipment, and sent to an image server via a wired communication line such as an ADSL. Prints are then generated in a mini-laboratory based on the selected image data sets. In this manner, the selected image data sets can be sent to the wireless LAN communication equipment at a data rate of the wireless LAN communication network, without being affected by a data rate of the wired communication line.

A camera manufacturer regularly receives from a data center operation information corresponding to DSC which is manufactured by the camera manufacturer. The received operation information is tabulated for each model of DSC for analysis and used for improvement of DSC and development of a next generation model of DSC.
