  • Publication number: 20030020813
Abstract: The present invention provides an image photographing system, which permits a user to easily photograph images and place, orders for printing. A digital still camera is rented to the user with a prepaid card affixed thereto, the prepaid card serving to write the number of times into the digital still camera, and an image saving area dedicated to the user is opened on an image server connected to the Internet. After the user photographs images with the digital still camera, image data for images, which the user selects, is saved in the image data saving area via a portable apparatus, and the saved images can also be browsed therewith. When the user places an order for printing one of the saved images, the corresponding image data is sent to a print finishing dealer, and a photographic print is created.

  • Publication number: 20020089653
Abstract: A method and a device are provided for automating receipt of orders for additional printing of a photographic print, including order information relating to desired image processing. In a print order receiving machine, when a photographic print is inserted, an image of the photographic print is read and displayed on a monitor (steps 150, 152). When order conditions are inputted, an image which is processed on the basis of the order conditions is displayed on the monitor (steps 154 through 158). Further, when input of the order conditions is completed, the order conditions and order information based on the order conditions are set. The set order information is printed onto a photographic print as an invisible two-dimensional bar code. Copying processing of the photographic print is carried out on the basis of the order information which is read from the photographic print.

  • Publication number: 20020030842
Abstract: A system in which even when only photographic film is carried in, a photographic print of the same image quality as that of an original photographic film is obtained. In an image processing unit, due to a label of a two-dimensional bar code, which is recorded as an invisible image on a photographic print overlapping with an image, being read by the scanner and decoded, a URL which indicates a position at which image data of images on the photographic print is stored, is determined, and based on the URL, image data is read from an image server. Thereafter, the image data read from the image server is outputted to a printer processor and formed by exposure on photographic printing paper, thereby forming a photographic print. As a result, a photographic print of high quality similar to an original photographic print can be prepared.

  • Patent number: 6266127
Abstract: An image reading method and an image reading device enable an elongated photographic photosensitive material to always be read well even if the elongated photographic photosensitive material has connected portions or deformed perforations. When a discontinuous portion detecting sensor detects a discontinuous portion such as a connected portion or a deformed perforation, an image frame which will be at a position for reading at a time when the discontinuous portion may interfere with conveying rollers is predicted. While the discontinuous portion is being conveyed between auxiliary conveying rollers and the conveying rollers and after a predetermined amount of time has elapsed before a predicted image frame is read by a CCD line sensor, conveying of the elongated photographic photosensitive material is switched to the auxiliary conveying rollers, and the elongated photographic photosensitive material is read.

  • Publication number: 20010007138
Abstract: A method and system for remote management of processors and a method and system for remote diagnosis of processors such as image output apparatuses. Operation information about contents of operation performed by a processor during an operational preset period or a preset number of executions of processing is recorded. A operation log is formed by combining the operation information and is transferred to a remote management apparatus connected to the processor by a communication line. The remote management apparatus performs remote management of the condition of the processor on the basis of the transmitted operation log. An error log containing information about occurrences of errors having occurred in the processor is also formed and transferred to the remote management apparatus.
