  • Publication number: 20030085979
Abstract: A sucking device having a fixed material transportation surface including plural sucking holes, a decompression chamber connecting to the plural sucking holes, and a sucking device sucking air in the decompression chamber is set at discharging side of the fixed material. The fixed material is fed on the fixed material transportation surface of the sucking device by the delivering device, and is stuck on the fixed material transportation surface through the sucking holes by the sucking device. The fixed material is fixed by a fixing head at the state being stuck and is transported gradually to a downstream side from an upstream side by the delivering device on the fixed material transportation surface. After that, when fixing is finished, the fixed material separates from surface of the fixed material transportation surface and rises slightly by blowing air from the sucking holes by a blowing device so as to move to discharging direction, that is, the downstream side by an auxiliary transporting device.

  • Publication number: 20030084811
Abstract: To prevent cockling occurring in a fixed material in a liquid fixing apparatus more effectively and make a paper gap small thereby to improve print quality. On a fixed material transporting surface, a through hole corresponding to a sucking hole is formed, further a recess functioning as a suction chamber is formed, and a through hole is formed in this recess. When intake is performed by the suction unit, and a fixed material is transported on a fixed material transporting surface, the fixed material is sucked and supported on the transporting surface. Sequentially, when the fixed material is fixed, cockling of the fixed material is sucked into the recess by the sucking hole of the suction chamber that is the recess, so that paper rising is prevented.

  • Publication number: 20030085980
Abstract: There are provided a sucking unit having a recording medium delivery surface including a plurality of sucking holes, a decompression chamber communicating with the sucking holes and a sucking device for sucking air in the decompression chamber, and a delivering device for adsorbing a recording medium supplied onto the recording medium delivery surface of the sucking unit onto the recording medium delivery surface through the sucking hole by the sucking device, and delivering the recording medium from an upstream side of the sucking unit to a downstream side thereof. Each sucking hole of the sucking unit is formed by a through hole section communicating with the decompression chamber and a sucking chamber having a larger area of a sucking surface opposed to the recording medium than a sectional area of the through hole section.

  • Publication number: 20030085978
Abstract: A fixed material transportation surface of the fixed material transportation apparatus is formed inclining so as to become higher toward a downstream side from an upstream side of transportation direction of the fixed material, and is transported while sucking the fixed material supplied on the fixed material transportation surface. Thus, since the cockling is drawn when the fixed material is transported while being raised to transportation direction on the fixed material transportation surface even if cockling extending to transportation direction generates on the fixed material after fixing, growth of the cockling can be prevented.

  • Patent number: 6403958
Abstract: A sample preparation method is provided where chipping of and damage to a film at an observed location does not occur when cutting with a machining blade is carried out in advance in order to prepare a sample for use with a transmission electronic microscope. The surroundings of an observed location are grooved using a focussed ion beam prior to performing cutting with a machining blade so that the observed location can be isolated from the film composing the sample in a floating island shape. A thin-film for embedding may then be deposited with respect to the grooving, using a focussed ion beam. If necessary, a protective film can also be prepared at the surface of the observed location using a focussed ion beam.

  • Patent number: 6206501
Abstract: An ink jet recording head that is formed by laminating a plurality of thin plate members, each having a plurality of holes. The holes of the adjacently stacked thin plate members cooperate to form ink flow paths each continuously extending to communicate a nozzle opening with a respective pressure producing chamber, which is connected to an ink supply section. In such ink jet recording head, the holes can be aligned or shifted with respect to each other, and allow ink to flow smoothly, thus preventing stagnation of air bubbles contained in the ink within the print head. Further, the nozzles openings are arranged in arrays in an auxiliary scanning direction. The nozzle opening arrays are divided into three groups spaced apart from each other at a predetermined interval in a main scanning direction. Nozzle openings belonging to groups arranged on both sides of the middle group are positioned vertically between adjacent nozzle openings of the middle group.

  • Patent number: 6141217
Abstract: In an enclosed control device including a casing enclosing an electronic circuit in a closed state, a centrifugal fan is also enclosed in the casing for enhancing the cooling of the electronic circuit. With a smoothing capacitor and a semiconductor element heating up, a temperature in the casing increases. Air flows to the side of the centrifugal fan. After passing through the centrifugal fan, the air disperses in the directions along the inner wall of the casing. This flow of air enhances heat transmission from the heated up smoothing capacitor and the semiconductor element to the air, and heat transmission from the air to the casing.
