    Abstract: A laminated glass for an automotive windshield according to one embodiment of the present invention includes: a resinous intermediate film layer; a curved first glass plate disposed on an exterior side; and a curved glass plate disposed on an interior side, the first and second glass plates being opposed to each other with the intermediate film layer interposed therebetween, wherein the first glass plate has a thickness ranging from 0.7 mm to 3 mm, wherein the second glass plate has a thickness ranging from 0.3 mm to 1.4 mm and being smaller than the thickness of the first glass plate, and wherein the second glass plate is made of a thermally-strengthened glass with a compressive stress of less than 5 MPa. With such a configuration, the laminated glass achieves improved safety to guard against the occurrence of an internal impact event.
