Abstract: A simplified, pressure-variation preventing tank structure capable of preventing pressure variations in a gas phase portion resulting from temperature variations, without bringing stored liquid into contact with air.
Abstract: A base material for mounting electronic components is provided which has a low density and a coefficient of thermal expansion close to that of aluminum and can be processed with ease. The base material essentially consists of aluminum or an aluminum alloy reinforced with carbon fibers with a volume fraction ranging from 0.15 to 0.55, the carbon fibers in the base material being arranged at random on a surface for mounting an electronic component and being arranged in layer in a direction vertical to the above-described surface.
Abstract: A high strength Cu-Ni-Sn alloy, comprising 3-25% Ni, 3-9% Sn, 0.05-1.5% Mn, balance Cu, is heated to a temperature of 800.degree. C. or above in a single-phase region. This heat treatment is followed by quenching and subsequent heating at a temperature range of 600.degree.-770.degree. C. in a two-phase region, followed by quenching and a finishing process with a ratio of 0-60%. Thereafter, the processed alloy is subjected to a final heat-treatment at a temperature of 350.degree.-500.degree. C.
Abstract: An apparatus for hoisting materials and placing concrete, having a non-rotating mast and a boom which is swingable horizontally and vertically, and consists of boom segments pin-jointed together in line so as to be foldable only downwardly. A line of concrete transport piping extends from the base end of the boom to the free end thereof, and a line of hoisting sling extends from the base end of the boom to the free end, hangs down to hold a load handling block, rises up and extends back to the base end, each such line being supported alongside of the boom. In service for hoisting materials, the boom is stretched and fixed at each pin-jointed connection for reinforcement by releasable pin-fastening members, whereas in service for concrete placing, the hoisting sling is raised up and seized in place to avoid interference. The apparatus is remotely controllable.
Abstract: Sludge deposit is stored in a sludge deposit receiving hopper, and the stored sludge deposit is fed onto a belt conveyor and transferred to a mixer. A hardener is fed to this mixer from a hardener hopper. A conveyor belt is disposed on the belt conveyor to measure the quantity of the sludge deposit transferred by the belt conveyor. According to this measured value of the transferred sludge deposit, the quantity of the sludge deposit fed from the sludge deposit receiving hopper and the quantity of the hardener fed from the hardener hopper are controlled. The sludge deposit is mixed and kneaded with the hardener, and the sludge deposit is solidified.
