  • Patent number: 8036165
Abstract: The quality of signals during SDMA is raised. In an uplink, a signal processing unit receives signals respectively from a plurality of terminal apparatuses which have been multiple-accessed by division of time. It derives receiving channel characteristics corresponding to the plurality of terminal apparatuses, respectively, for each time slot. In a downlink, the signal processing unit derives transmitting channel characteristics from the receiving channel characteristics derived and, based on the transmitting channel characteristics derived, it transmits signals respectively to the plurality of terminal apparatuses to which SDMA has been performed.

  • Publication number: 20110136499
Abstract: A radio base station allocates a large-interference channel or a small-interference channel to a radio terminal. The radio base station includes: a performance determination unit (121) which determines an interference can performance as a performance to cancellation the affects of interference in the radio terminal or the radio base station; and a channel allocation unit (125) which allocates the large-interference channel or the small-interference channel to the radio terminal in accordance with the interference cancellation performance. The channel allocation unit (125) allocates the small-interference channel with a higher priority than the large-interference channel as the interference cancellation performance increases.

  • Patent number: 7881751
Abstract: In response to a connection request from a terminal, a base station provides a signal indicating a reception operation adapted to a transmission operation of the base station to the terminal. Based on the indicating signal, the terminal selects and performs the optimum reception operation. The terminal also provides its own reception operation information in advance to the base station. Based on the reception operation information, the base station transmits a reception operation indication to the terminal. These processes are realized with software by DSP (12, 14) and the like.

  • Publication number: 20110019779
Abstract: An RF unit receives multicarrier signals via a plurality of antennas. A division unit divides the multicarrier signals received into a plurality of groups in the frequency domain. The division unit acquires the channel quality for each subcarrier, contained in the multicarrier signal, in the frequency domain, and defines the plurality of groups according to the channel quality. • Patent number: 7738438
Abstract: A radio base system (1000) is multi-path-connected to a plurality of mobile terminal devices to transmit/receive signals. When a communication channel establishment request is sent from one of the plurality of mobile terminal devices, a control unit (80) detects the presence or absence of a mobile terminal device to which a communication channel is already connected for each of a plurality of slots. When channel allocation has to be performed by path multiplexing on the mobile terminal device which has sent the channel establishment request, control unit (80) permits channel establishment in accordance with a result of detection of an error detecting unit (56).

  • Patent number: 7623488
Abstract: A wireless base station comprises a response vector calculation unit (561), an RSSI measuring unit (562), an MSE calculation unit (563), an FD calculation unit (564) and the like, and those units obtain an index showing communication quality of at least one of two mobile stations that are intended to be space-division multiplexed. According to the index, a control unit (80) judges the suitability of the two mobile stations for space-division multiplexing and performs space-division multiple access communication when judging suitable. The effect achieved with this construction is that the wireless base station maintains quality of communication between the wireless base station and mobile stations at a certain satisfactory level when performing space-division multiple access communication.

  • Patent number: 7570620
Abstract: A measuring unit inputs a detection received signal and measures a received RSSI value as the detection received signal. A first comparator inputs a plurality of received RSSI values measured by the measuring unit and compares them with a predetermined threshold value. A signal difference deriving unit derives a relative relationship among the plurality of RSSI values. A second comparator compares the relative relationship with a predetermined value. If the first comparator and the second comparator detect any malfunction, a decision unit receives notification accordingly from the first comparator and the second comparator and finally judges the malfunction of communication functions associated therewith.

  • Patent number: 7542529
Abstract: An AGC processing portion receives a burst signal of each received frame, and measures its received power level to perform gain control of a variable gain amplifier. Unlike a conventional wireless receiving device, a digital signal from an A/D converter is directly supplied to the AGC processing portion, without passing through an FIR filter. Accordingly, the input timing for the AGC processing portion does not include a delay due to the FIR filter, and an amplitude value can be adjusted to be appropriate from the leading part of each frame, suppressing the occurrence of a reception error due to AGC processing.

  • Patent number: 7486646
Abstract: A slot of a low multiplicity is processed to narrow transmission timing intervals for already-connected users and thereby to make preparation for a new user, and a slot of a high multiplicity is processed to keep the maximum transmission timing intervals for the already-connected users so that the preparation for the new user is not performed. As a result, it is possible to provide the slot prepared for the new user while maximizing the transmission timing intervals. Further, the transmission timing intervals for the already-connected users are kept as large as possible during the traffic channel for preventing the deterioration of characteristics, and the shifting of the transmission timing is performed for the new user during the control channel so that the optimum transmission timing intervals can be achieved when the traffic channel is established. A DSP (14) executes the processing.
