  • Patent number: 7581616
Abstract: In a vehicle steering apparatus of a steer-by-wire system, front wheels are controlled to be turned by a computer program processing. A displacement/torque conversion section 51 converts a steering angle ? into a steering torque Td that is in relation of exponential function. A torque/lateral-acceleration conversion section 52 converts the steering torque Td into an anticipated lateral acceleration Gd (or anticipated yaw rate ?d and anticipated turning curvature ?d) that is in relation of exponentiation function and that serves as a vehicle motion state quantity that can be perceived by a human. A turning angle conversion section 53 calculates a target turning angles ?d necessary for the vehicle to move with the anticipated lateral acceleration Gd (or anticipated yaw rate ?d and anticipated turning curvature ?d). A turning control section 60 controls the steered wheels to be turned into the target turning angle ?d.

  • Patent number: 7522262
Abstract: A method for determining a position of a reference point in which there is no influence of aberration of a camera lens or the like, but an error caused by a failure in shape of an alignment mark can be reduced. An alignment mark consisting of a plurality of pattern portions (and background portions) centering at a design reference point is provided in advance. Positions of centers of border lines of the patterns are calculated. Obtained coordinate values of the centers are averaged in each axial direction. The averaged coordinate values are regarded as coordinate values of a machining reference point. Thus, even when a defect occurs in any pattern portion, an error caused by the defect is reduced so that the accuracy in machining can be improved.

  • Publication number: 20080142293
Abstract: An electronic control unit inputs a side slip angle ? of a vehicle body in step S11. Next, in step S13, the unit calculates, while using the side slip angle ? of the vehicle body, a dynamic zero point ?o for reducing a lateral force generated in the vehicle due to the side slip angle ? of the vehicle body. Next, in step S14, the unit calculates a steering angle ?a, which is represented by the difference between the dynamic zero point ?o and a steering angle ? detected by a steering angle sensor. Next, in step S15, the unit calculates a reaction torque Tz having a predetermined relation with the steering angle ?a. Subsequently, in step S16, the unit drives and controls an electric motor to generate the calculated reaction torque Tz. Thus, the unit guides a driver to a proper steering-wheel rotating direction.

A displacement/torque conversion section 51 converts a steering angle ? into a steering torque Td that is in relation of exponential function. A torque/lateral-acceleration conversion section 52, torque/yaw-rate conversion section 53 and torque/curvature conversion section 54 convert into an anticipated lateral acceleration Gd, anticipated yaw rate ?d and anticipated turning curvature ?d based upon the steering torque Td. Turning angle conversion sections 55, 56 and 57 calculate target turning angles ?g, ?? and ??. A turning angle deciding section 58 decides a target turning angle ?d among the target turning angles ?g, ?? and ?? according to the detected vehicle speed V. • Publication number: 20070279295
Abstract: An antenna device is provided for which the thickness can be reduced, warping can be prevented, and manufacturing can be easily performed. According to the present invention, the antenna device includes: a support member, formed like a long hollow plate by extruding a resin; and an antenna unit, wherein a plurality of antenna elements, which are thin metal plates formed substantially in a U shape and which include a first coupling portion extended from one end in one direction and a second coupling portion extended from the other end in the opposite direction, grip the external sides of the support member in the longitudinal direction. The first coupling portion of a specific antenna element is connected to the second coupling portion of the adjacent antenna element, and the second coupling portion of the specific antenna element is connected to the first coupling portion of the adjacent antenna element. Since the antenna elements are connected in this manner, the antenna unit is formed like a coil.

  • Publication number: 20070265750
Abstract: An electronic control unit reads a side slip angle of a vehicle body. Next, the electronic control unit reads a correction amount entered by a driver. Next, the electronic control unit calculates a target steering angle by subtracting a correction term from a rotation amount of a steering output shaft, which has a predetermined relation with a rotation amount of a steering input shaft, to reduce a lateral force generated in the vehicle due to the side slip angle of the vehicle body. Subsequently, the electronic control unit drives and controls an electric motor of a variable-gear-ratio actuator until the rotation amount of the steering output shaft reaches the target steering angle.

  • Patent number: 7295908
Abstract: In a vehicle steering apparatus, front wheels are controlled to be turned by a computer program processing. A displacement/torque conversion section 51 converts a steering angle ? into a steering torque Td that is in relation of exponential function. A torque/lateral-acceleration conversion section 52 converts into an anticipated lateral acceleration Gd based upon the steering torque Td. A turning angle conversion section 55 calculates target turning angles ?d. A turning angle correcting section 61 obtains a slip angle ? of a slip generated on a vehicle. Then, the turning angle correcting section 61 corrects the target turning angle ?d based upon the obtained slip angle ?, thereby calculating a corrected target turning angle ?da. A drive control section 63 controls the steered wheels to be turned into the corrected target turning angle ?da. According to this, a driver can correctly perceive the generated anticipated lateral acceleration Gd, whereby he/she can easily drive the vehicle.
