  • Patent number: 5548012
Abstract: An automotive weather strip comprising a base material, a urethane layer and an adhesive composition formed between the base material and the urethane layer, wherein said base material comprises an ethylene/propylene rubber and said adhesive composition comprises components (A) to (E), the weight ratio of component (A) to component (B) being 60:40 to 40:60,(A) an epoxy group-containing acrylic elastomer,(B) an ethylene/.alpha.-olefin copolymer,(C) an organic peroxide,(D) at least one member selected from the group consisting of a primary amines and an imidazole compound, and(E) calcium oxide. The present invention can provide an automotive weather strip in which a base material containing the ethylene/propylene rubber has been strongly adhered to the urethane layer forming a surface layer, and which can be produced efficiently without requiring many production steps and also without using a hygienically undesirable solvent-containing adhesive.

  • Patent number: 5354594
Abstract: The invention is a weather strip having good water-repellency and a method for preparing a weather strip for an automobile or a building. The weather strip includes a flock portion on its sealing portion surface to which a hardened reactive silicone layer is coated. The reactive silicone layer is made of a base material, a catalyst and a solvent. The hardened reactive silicone layer may further include a coupling agent, an ultraviolet cut-off pigment or a fine powder. The weather strip is prepared by applying the reactive silicone layer to the flock portion of the weather strip and curing the reactive silicone at a temperature of 80.degree.-150.degree. C. for 1-20 minutes.

  • Patent number: 5268040
Abstract: A method of cooling steel parts from austenitic stage to a temperature that is higher than its Ms point after carburization of said steel part to carry out diffusion transformation, then carrying out a nitriding treatment and further applying shot peening, and in order to implement said method provide a carburizing zone, a cooling zone for carrying out diffusion transformation and a nitriding treatment zone connected through opening and shutting doors, and provide feeding devices in each of said zones to feed the steel parts to the next zone.

  • Patent number: 4864774
Abstract: A door glass run for automobile provided with a recessed groove for sliding a door glass thereon, installed on a door panel, which comprises an insert positioned on an inner periphery side of the recessed groove and consisting of a hard synthetic resin formed along a profile of the door panel, and a body consisting of elastomer position on an outer periphery side of the insert. A glass slide positioned on a bottom portion of the recessed groove and a glass retainer positioned on a side portion of a car outside of the door glass in the recessed groove are formed on the insert. Further, a locking leg projecting to pass through the body from a predetermined position on an outer periphery side of the glass slide and mountable in a fitting hole of the door panel is formed on the insert.

  • Patent number: 4493752
Abstract: A process for recovering trioxane from an aqueous solution containing trioxane and triethylamine by the distillation separation process which comprises feeding an aqueous solution containing trioxane and triethylamine to the first distillation column, distilling out triethylamine, trioxane and water from the column top of the first distillation column, withdrawing an aqueous solution containing the major part of the trioxane present in the fed solution from the column bottom of the first distillation column, feeding the withdrawn solution to the second distillation column and taking out the substantially whole quantity of the trioxane fed to the second distillation column from the column top of the second distillation column.

  • Patent number: 4202710
Abstract: A method for carburizing low alloy steel having carbon content of no more than 0.5% employing two-step carburizing process. The method comprising pre-carburizing the steel in a carburizing atmosphere having a carbon potential of less than Acm to produce a carburized case having hypereutectoid composition, cooling the steel to transform the case into a bainite, pearlite or martensite structure, and carburizing the steel by heating thereof to a carburizing temperature for a sufficiently long time to produce carbides in a spheroidal or spherical form, the carburizing being carried out in such a manner that the heating speed of the steel is being controlled under 20.degree. C. per minute in a region between Ac.sub.1 temperature and 750.degree. C.-950.degree. C. and the carbon potential in the carburizing atmosphere is being maintained over Acm when the temperature is over Ac.sub.1.
