  • Patent number: 6072354
Abstract: In a semiconductor device having a plurality of output circuits such as a semiconductor memory device, a drive signal having a boosted voltage level which is produced from a boosting circuit is applied to a gate of a low-level outputting MOS transistor in the output circuit. As a result, even when a potential at the ground wiring line is floated, a substantial decrease of a potential difference between the ground wiring line and the gate of the low-level outputting MOS transistor can be prevented. Also, a signal having a sufficiently high level can be supplied to a gate of a low-level outputting output MOS transistor. As a consequence, delays in the switching operation of the output MOS transistor can be suppressed, and the output circuit can be operated at high speed.

  • Patent number: 5973675
Abstract: An information processing apparatus is capable of using more than one type of keyboard with a single keyboard controller without increasing the production cost. In a keyboard matrix, a key scanning line C0 is arranged so that the key scanning line C0 is only connected to any one of key return lines R0 to R7 through a key switch having a key switch number G01. The key switch number G01 is assigned for the key [F1] which is common to keyboards having different key arrangements. When the information processing apparatus is activated, a keyboard initializing program is activated by depressing the [F1] key. As a result, the information processing apparatus identifies the type of the keyboard by detecting a key return line R from which a signal is returned when scanning is made upon the depression of the [F1] key.

  • Patent number: 5933724
Abstract: A phase shifting mask is used for manufacturing a semiconductor integrated circuit device including a conductor pattern in which the line width of patterned conductor strips or the space between patterned conductor strips is not constant. For main transparent areas in the mask corresponding to the conductor pattern, auxiliary pattern segments are provided for compensating changes in the phase distribution of transmitted light caused by changes of the line width or the space. Alternately, the spaces between the conductor strips are adjusted to suppress the changes in the phase distribution of transmitted light. Whether the auxiliary pattern segments should have the phase shifting function is determined depending upon the disposition of the main transparent areas.

  • Patent number: 5674058
Abstract: A scroll-type refrigerant compressor having a movable scroll unit and a stationary scroll unit which has a fixed stationary end plate in which a plurality of bypass ports and a discharge port are formed through which the refrigerant compressed in the pockets formed between the movable and stationary scroll units is discharged via check valves covering the bypass ports and the discharge port and preventing a reverse flow of the discharged refrigerant into the pockets. The compressor further having a suction port fluidly connected to an evaporator of an air-conditioning system, a delivery port fluidly connected to a condenser of the air-conditioning system, and a fluid channel for providing a fluid communication between the suction and delivery ports via a solenoid-operated valve for blocking and unblocking the fluid channel. The compressor can be switched from the ordinary 100% capacity to 0% capacity and vice versa.

  • Patent number: 5639225
Abstract: In a scroll type compressor, when the operation of the compressor is stopped, compression chambers, for compressing a fluid, and a suction chamber are communicated with each other through bypass holes, and a spool valve to open and close the holes, so that the pressure in the compression chambers are lowered and the occurrence of a shock caused by a sharp increase in the load is prevented at the next start. Since the discharge pressure to drive the spool valve is introduced from a position upstream of the discharge valve, pressure is quickly lowered when the compressor stops, so that the spool valve can be quickly opened. Therefore, even when the compressor is frequently started and stopped, the occurrence of a shock can be positively prevented when the compressor starts.

  • Patent number: 5611675
Abstract: A spool 9 is connected to the rotating shaft 1 so that the spool 9 is slidable with respect to the shaft 1, while the rotating movement of the shaft 1 is transmitted to the spool 9. The spool 9 is formed with a first recess 9-3 of a reduced circumferential extension for obtaining a reduced compression capacity and a second recess 9-4 of an increased circumferential extension for obtaining a full capacity of the compressor. An intake pressure is always opened to a side of the spool, while an intermediate chamber is formed on the other side of the spool. A spring 10 is arranged for causing the spool 9 to be moved toward the intermediate pressure chamber. At the instant the compressor is brought into operation, introduction of the intake gas occurs via the first recess 9-4, thereby obtaining a compression capacity of 3 to 5% compared to the full capacity of the compressor.
