  • Publication number: 20060140792
Abstract: In order to make a displacement type compressor be able to reliably start without increasing an outside diameter dimension of the compressor while using a self-start synchronous motor having high energy efficiency, the displacement type compressor according to the invention includes the self-start synchronous motor which starts as an induction-motor and performs synchronous operation by performing synchronization pull-in almost at a synchronous rotational frequency, a compression part having a compression chamber which compresses a working fluid, and a hermetic container which houses the self-start synchronous motor and the compression part. The displacement type compressor is provided with a start load reducing means which reduces a load of the compression part at startup and is-placed at the compression part in the hermetic container.

  • Patent number: 7021912
Abstract: A second frame is arranged between a first frame and an orbiting scroll, and a central space and an outer peripheral space are sealed off by a seal portion, which is formed between an end surface of a shaft support of the orbiting scroll and the second frame. Also, a balance weight is arranged in a space between an underside of the second frame and the first frame. Thereby, most of an oil having lubricated respective shaft supports flows into the space below the second frame, and the oil accumulated in the space is discharged through an oil scavenge pipe into an oil reservoir in a lower portion of a closed vessel. Also, since the balance weight can be assembled from a side of the orbiting scroll in a state, in which the second frame is removed, it is possible to mount the balance weight close to the orbiting scroll.

  • Patent number: 6981364
Abstract: A novel combined engine for a single-stage spacecraft is provided that combines a air-breathing engine utilizing oxygen in the atmosphere as oxidizer and rocket engines for obtaining thrust outside the atmosphere and that does not require a portion whose shape is variable in accordance with the flight speed. Rocket engines 15 are provided on struts 12 that form air introduction channels 10 in the air intake section 4. The rocket jets 18 from the rocket engines 15 control the flow of the airflows 16 introduced into the combustion chamber 20 in accordance with the flight speed. When the spacecraft 1 is stationary or in subsonic flight, the rocket jets 18 promote air intake into the combustion chamber 20 by lowering of static pressure due to expansion (ejector effect). In the subsonic flight condition, it performs the role of air compression, mixing with incoming air, fuel injection and ignition and during supersonic/ultra-supersonic flight it performs the role of a variable diffuser.

  • Publication number: 20040215810
Abstract: The invention provides methods for synchronizing a plurality of data flows. In a first method, packets included in a plurality of data flows are sent out in the order of their generation times. A synchronization node adjusts the sending intervals of the packets such that they are the same as the generation intervals of the packets. In a second method, there are different synchronization nodes playing the different roles of sender-side synchronization node and receiver-side synchronization node. A receiver-side synchronization node receives a plurality of data flows from a sending device, and merges those packets in the data flows that have the same generation time into one packet. The merged packets are sent to a sender-side synchronization node, disassembled and restored to the original data flows. The restored data flows are sent by the sender-side synchronization node to their respective destinations.

  • Patent number: 6345967
Abstract: The invention provides a scroll type fluid machine in which a performance is improved by improving assembling accuracy and reliability is improved by giving strength to wraps. The scroll type fluid machine is provided with an orbiting scroll having an end plate and a wrap stood on the end plate, and a fixed scroll having an end plate and a wrap stood on the end plate and structured such that a motion within a surface perpendicular to an axial direction is restricted, thereby reducing or expanding a volume formed by engaging the wraps of the fixed scroll and the orbiting scroll with each other so as to close between both of the scrolls. In the scroll type fluid machine, a side surface clearance formed between both of the wraps is formed to be smaller in a range between a central winding start point of the wrap and a section close to a center of the wrap than in a range between the section close to the center of the wrap and a section close to an outer periphery of the wrap.

  • Patent number: 5448151
Abstract: In a battery charger for an electric appliance powered by an incorporated rechargeable battery such as an electric shaver or electric toothbrush, etc., a charger circuit and charging terminals are incorporated in a casing. The charger circuit supplies a charger current to the rechargeable battery through the charging terminals. The interior of the casing is divided into lower circuit compartment for receiving the charger circuit and an upper terminal compartment by a partition carrying the charging terminals in such a manner as to make a water-tight seal between the circuit and terminal compartments. The charging terminals project into the terminal compartment, are electrically connected to the charger circuit, and also are accessible through individual holes formed in a portion of the casing for connection with the rechargeable battery.
